Hello Creative Scrapbookers! Jayme Loge here with aΒ  little glance at what is on my scrap table this week! I’ve not spent a lot of creative time making cards or scrapbooking lately; I’ve been creating in other ways, exploring poured acrylic painting, working in different kinds of planners, creating messy art lessons for second graders and playing with the Impression Obsession Elegant Feathers stamp set. My oldest niece graduated in June, so I took that as an opportunity to get back to my first love and create a grad card for her. I love how it turned out- it is not at all traditional but I think it is encouraging for a lovely young woman about to head out into the adult world. With everything laying out on my scrapbook table, I just kept going and created this layout using an old photo. I stamped out a bunch of feathers…

Hello and happy May! Kim here with a colourful layout share today using products a from Simple Stories, Impression Obsession, Clearsnap and Glue Dots! I have been emptying my craft room as we are doing some renovations once again on our home. During the tedious job of moving all my craft supplies I came across two photos from our Crop & Cruise vacation from over 10 years ago. This was actually the first time I met team Creative Scrapbooker and have grown some wonderful friendships from this holiday. I wanted my layout to be happy and summery, but needed a simple background as the pictures themselves were β€œbusy”! I opted to build my layout on a piece of Creative Scrapbooker Superstock. I pulled out my Simple Stories’ Hello Summer collection. The colours worked perfectly and the embellishments fit the theme of my photos. I first stamped the background with a…

Its Karan Gerber here to host the blog andΒ  I am here to share with you a masculine layout I designed based on the newΒ Laser Cut Frame SetsΒ fromΒ 49 and MarketΒ with papers from theΒ Bold and Beautiful Collection. Here is a peek at what I will be creating for you today: To begin with, we will be using two sheets of the whispers paper; a set of the Laser Frame Set #3 insert whispers image here We will be using two of the above papers to create our background, one using the reverse image and the second we will be cutting a 5.25” x 10.5” making sure to incorporate the detailed brick in the pattern. When you cut the second sheet, ink the edges with Weathered Wood Distress ink from Ranger. Here is what the frame set looks…

Hello everyone, Cathie Allan here today on the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine blog playing with Dare 2B Artzy! While demoing and doing make’n takes in the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine booth inΒ  Dallas at the Stamp & Scrap Expo I had the absolute pleasure to meet Cindy Sartain, owner of Dare 2B Artzy, stamps, dies & stencils. Their booth was directly across from ours &Β  oh, my goodness …. I fell in love at first sight with her products. Β Of course, I had to bring some home to introduce her stamps to my ink πŸ™‚ I have created 2 awesome quick & easy cards using two of her sets and one of her stencils. I kept the techniques so simple & fun that if you follow my articles in the fabulous, quarterly book,Β  β€œCreative Scrapbooker Magazine” (you know it is β€œway” past Β β€œjust” a magazine) you will probably know how IΒ  achieved…

Hi everyone! Noreen Smith here from OrganizedandCreativeMom.com to share a not-too-spooky Halloween layout along with some cut files that I created for you today! I’m using the Limited Edition Pumpkin Spice Paper Pack and Stickers from Creative Memories which feature iconic fall colors and patterns with hints of Halloween. They are perfect for photos from the Pumpkin Patch, corn maze, bobbing for apples, Jack-O-Lantern Carving, Halloween costumes and parties, and of course, all things Pumpkin Spice! You might remember that last May I designed a Sunburst cut file to share with you, and I decided to take a spooky spin on it and turn it into a spider web! The rays of the sun became the radials of the web and I added the curved spirals in between to create a web that can be cut on any electronic cutting device! And what’s a web without a spider? Inspired by…

Hello, Connie Nichol here today with a scrapbook layout featuring papers from the FabScrapsΒ  collection called Mother Earth. I just love the gentle colours and the beautiful botanical images on these papers. Β I was totally inspired by the Berry Bliss sheet of patterned paper to scrapbook my love for raspberry freezer jam. Β We eat a lot of it in my house and I make jam all year round. Β Once I discovered freezer jam, I never went back to cooked jam. Β It just tastes a thousand times better and is so quick to make. FabScraps Mother Earth Patterned paper Here’s a few images of the paper in this FabScraps collection. Β Gorgeous. Β  I like to fussy cut some of the images out and use these as extra embellishments to accent the page. Β I also used a sheet of finely corrugated cardboard that I had rescued out of a recycle bin a…
