Hello everyone – Kim Gowdy here today on the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine blog.
Do you know what I LOVE? Sketches! Did you know that Creative Scrapbooker Magazine has a fun Sketchy Challenge every month? That’s 12 sketches a year for as long as I can remember…saved between a NEW and OLD gallery…there’s a lot of inspiration in these galleries! Why 2 galleries? Technology! Our older gallery is no longer “stable” …what that means is it’s a great place for viewing but NOT for uploading new content!
So, although today’s layout share will find a home in our newest gallery, don’t forget to visit sketches from days gone by, they don’t expire!
The March 2018 Sketchy Challenge was a double page layout! A great sketch for story telling! I only had one problem…I haven’t done a double page in so long [mainly because my work space is too full!] so I challenged myself to turn it into a 12×12 layout! Bet you were hoping I would clean off my desk top! Nope – LOL!
I pulled out my Crafty Girl collection from Simple Stories and turned the “timeline’ into crafty thoughts! I love that I was able to use so many of the awesome die cut pieces on one layout!
I even used several die cuts layered to create my title/focal thoughts! Little parts and pieces tucked under and over each other make a great focal point!
Kelly Creates small brush pen and fine liner pen were used for my journaling and arrows. My Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L EZ Runner Grand is always by my side and keeps everything in place!
Stay tuned! I already have ideas for the June Sketch
Thanks for checking out my crafty layout!

Love the way you turned a 2-page sketch into a one page Kim! Love your LO! Also love this 2-page sketch. Like you, I love sketches and this one will definitely go in my file box.
Thanks Brenda! it was fun to play with and adapt this sketch! Though one day I’d LOVE to clean off that work space and use the story line on a double page! It’s a FANTASTIC sketch!
So clever Kim!
Ahh thanks YOU! The brain was oiled with a GREAT sketch!
