Hey, Creative Scrapbooker Fans, Katelyn Grosart here today. I’m excited to be back on the blog sharing with you a pretty fall themed wall hanging which was inspired by all of the leaves falling here on the west coast and the Fall Break collection by Carta Bella. For the base of my project, I used the Fall Break Collection from Carta Bella as well as products from Emerald Creek Crafts, Elizabeth Craft Designs, Southern Ridge Trading Company, Ranger Ink and Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L to create my Wool Sweaters, Bonfires and Pumpkin Carvings Wall Hanging. Grab a cup of your favourite Fall beverage and I will walk you through on how you can recreate my wall hanging at home. To start, you’ll need two Pumpkin Leaves from Southern Ridge Trading Company. Apply a coat of Emboss It Ink from Ranger Ink onto each pumpkin leaf. Sprinkle Forest Foliage Embossing Powder from Emerald Creek Craft Supplies over top of each pumpkin leaf. Tap off the excess powder and emboss with a heat tool. Next, you’ll need three Mini Wood Maple Leaves from Southern Ridge Trading Company. On the first maple leaf, apply two coats of Candied Apple Distress Paint from Ranger Ink over top of the leaf. On the second maple leaf, apply two coats of Peeled Paint Distress Paint from Ranger Ink. On the third maple leaf, apply two coats of Carved Pumpkin Distress Paint from Ranger Ink. Once the paint has dried on all of the maple leaves, rub Vintage Photo Distress Crayon from Ranger Ink onto the edges of the maple leaves with your finger. Take one Mini Wood Pumpkin from Southern Ridge Trading Company and apply two coats of Carved Pumpkin Distress Paint as well as Peeled Paint Distress Paint from Ranger Ink to the pumpkin. The last chipboard piece from Southern Ridge Trading Company that you’ll need is the Rod Iron Circle Frame. Apply a coat of Emboss It Ink from Ranger Ink onto the frame. Sprinkle Weathered Wood Embossing Powder from Emerald Creek Craft Supplies over top of the frame. Tap off the excess powder and emboss with a heat tool. Choose two patterned papers out of the Fall Break Collection from Carta Bella. Die cut the 3” Stitched Fishtail from Elizabeth Craft Designs out of one of the patterned papers. Die cut the 3 ½” Stitched Fishtail from Elizabeth Craft Designs out of the other patterned paper. Distress the edges of each fishtail. Ink the edges of both fishtails using Ground Espresso Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam from Ranger Ink. Choose another two patterned papers out of the Fall Break Collection from Carta Bella. Die cut the 3 ½” Stitched Rectangle from Elizabeth Craft Designs out of the first patterned papers. Die cut the 3 ¾” Stitched Rectangle from Elizabeth Craft Designs out of the second patterned paper. Distress the edges of each rectangle piece. Ink the edges of both rectangles using Ground Espresso Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam from Ranger Ink. From the Border Strip paper out of the Fall Break Collection from Carta Bella, cut apart the Wool Sweaters, Bonfires, Pumpkin Carving, Hot Cider, and Apple Pie strip. Cut the words apart. Ink the edges of each word strip using Ground Espresso Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam from Ranger Ink. Adhere the 3 ¼” stitched rectangle to the 3 ¾” stitched rectangle using E-Z Runner from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L. Adhere the 3” Stitched Fishtail to the 3 ½” Stitched Fishtail using E-Z Runner from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L.
