Good Morning and WELCOME March! It sure doesn’t feel like spring is around the corner but we have turned the page on February and that’s enough for me! Head’s up…today’s project share is not very spring like either! I choose to work with our January Sketchy Challenge and some fun products I have in my stash, old & new! If you prefer to share on Facebook, we have a Sketchy Challenge Group you are welcome to join!January Sketchy Challenge / Tuesday With the Team / Kim Gowdy

I stayed pretty true to the sketch, with the diagonal stack of photos and snowflake embellishments, then I let intuition guide the placement of my title and other embellishments.Carta Bella's Let it Snow collection / Emerald Creek Baked Texture for snowflakes / January 2019 Sketchy Challenge / CSM Design Team - Kim Gowdy

Carta Bella’s “Let it Snow” collection was perfect for my snowy pictures. I used the papers to mat my layout and pictures. They add the perfect amount of contrast and interest to my white Bazzill cardstock base. The Carta Bella stickers, chipboard and enamel dots are subtle embellishments that help tell my story perfectly.Carta Bella's Let it Snow collection / papers/ stickers/chipboard/enamel dotsAlright…can I LOVE those snowflakes anymore? I pulled out an older Tim Holtz by Sizzix die, “Stacked Snowflakes”,  and embossed them with Seth Apter’s Baked Texture Blizzard embossing powder by Emerald Creek. The grungy, white texture with bits of silver makes my heart beat a little faster. The little silver snowflake charm from Emerald Creek was the last embellishment I added and pulls it all together!Emerald Creek / Seth Apter Baked Textures / SnowflakesSeth Apter Baked Texture by Emerald Creek / Blizzard / embossed snowflakes

I edged my papers and stickers with some Ranger Distress Ink (Hickory Smoke) and snuck in a “2018” on the hot chocolate cup using ranger Dylusion Paint Pen (white), it is  my go to writing/doodling pens for shiny surfaces like the chipboard piece.Ranger Ink / Timholtz distress ink - hickory smoke / Dylusion paint pen - white

Although you never get to see the hero that holds it all together, I used my Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L EZ Runner permanent adhesive for all my papers and chose the Adhesive Dots to stick my snowflakes down! Those dots are AWESOME and sticky, those snowflakes are going nowhere!Stick it down with Adhesives by 3L / EZ runner / Adhesive Dots

Thanks for hanging out with me on the blog today, check in everyday for new projects and inspiration. Have you picked up the newest issue of Creative Scrapbooker Magazine?
