Hey Creative Scrapbooker Fans! I’m thrilled to be back on the blog today sharing with you my vintage Altered Frame. Spring is definitely here and that means that I’m starting to switch up some of the décor pieces in my home.  The jumping off point for my project was the Midnight Garden collection as well as other papers and embellishments from Prima Marketing Inc which I combined with some adhesive from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L, a die from Elizabeth Craft Designs and ink from Ranger Ink, I was able to create this vintage Do Everything with Love Altered Frame. You’ll want to grab a cup of your favourite Springtime beverage as I share with you how I created my altered frame.Vintage Altered Frame featuring Prima Marketing designed by Katelyn Grosart
To start, you’ll need a 6 ½” x 8 ½” frame. Mine was white and already distressed, so I didn’t do anything to it.
Cut a piece out of the Georgia Blues – Midnight Blues from Prima Marketing Inc to 5” x 7”. Distress the edges. Ink the edges of the patterned paper using Black Soot Distress Oxide Ink and a blending tool with foam from Ranger Ink.
Cut a piece out of the Midnight Garden – Traveling Tickets paper from Prima Marketing Inc to 4 ¾” x 6 ¾”. Distress the edges. Ink the edges of the patterned paper using Black Soot Distress Oxide Ink and a blending tool with foam from Ranger Ink.
Cut a piece out of the Midnight Garden – Rose Receipts paper from Prima Marketing Inc to 4 ½” x 6 ½”. Also fussy cut a leaf and a two bunch set of leaves. Distress the edges of the patterned paper piece. Ink the edges of the patterned paper piece and the leaves using Black Soot Distress Oxide Ink and a blending tool with foam from Ranger Ink.
Choose two border strips from the patterned papers we’ve used. Cut one border strip down to 4 ½”. Cut the other border strip down to 4 ¼”. Distress the edges of each border strip. Ink the edges of the patterned paper piece and the leaves using Black Soot Distress Oxide Ink and a blending tool with foam from Ranger Ink.
Choose a saying off of the Spring Farmhouse – Full Heart patterned paper from Prima Marketing Inc. Use the 2 ¾” Stitched Circle from Elizabeth Craft Designs to die cut the saying out. Distress the edges. Ink the edges of the stitched circle using Black Soot Distress Oxide Ink and a blending tool with foam from Ranger Ink.
Cut a piece of lace to 4 ½”.
Next, you’ll need the Resin Frame – Montchamp Imperial from Prima Marketing Inc. Rub Bronze Age Art Alchemy Metallique Wax from Prima Marketing Inc around the edges of the frame as desired.
Take out the two chipboard tickets off of the Midnight Garden – Chipboard Stickers from Prima Marketing Inc. Ink the edges of the chipboard pieces using Black Soot Distress Oxide Ink and a blending tool with foam from Ranger Ink.
Out of the Poetic Rose Flowers – Untold Stories from Prima Marketing Inc, take out the light blue and pink/green flower flowers. Out of the Lavender Frost Flowers from Prima Marketing Inc, take out the large cream flower.
Fussy cut six of the feathers off of the Midnight Garden – Feather Collector patterned paper piece from Prima Marketing Inc. Ink the edges of the feathers using Black Soot Distress Oxide Ink and a blending tool with foam from Ranger Ink.
