Hey Creative Scrapbooker Fans Katelyn Grosart here today!
There is so much going on in our world today and I feel that it’s so important to send cards to friends and loved ones to remind them that you are thinking of them or are there for them. So, for today’s blog post, I’m sharing my I’m Here For You Card. To create my card, I’ve used a variety of dies from Elizabeth Craft Designs, Cardstock from Creative Scrapbooker Magazine, a variety of products from Ranger Ink,  embossing powder from Emerald Creek Craft Supplies and adhesive from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L. You’ll want to grab a cup of your favourite beverage and learn how to recreate my card at home. To start, die cut a 4” Stitched Rectangle from Elizabeth Craft Designs out of a piece of Cotton Watercolor Paper from Ranger Ink. Using a paintbrush that has a little bit of water on it, paint on Apricot, Turquoise, and Carnation Dina Wakley Media – Acrylic Paint from Ranger Ink on the rectangle as desired. When you apply the paint, put each colour on the rectangle separately. Place The Best Hearts Stencil from Ranger Ink onto the painted rectangle. Using a blending tool with foam and Carnation Dina Wakley Media – Acrylic Paint from Ranger Ink, put the paint through the stencil as desired. I put a total of twelve hearts on the rectangle. Place the Petals Stencil from Ranger Ink onto the painted rectangle. Using a blending tool with foam and Sand Dina Wakley Media – Acrylic Paint from Ranger Ink, put the paint through the stencil as desired. I put a total of thirteen petals on the rectangle. Once the paint has dried, apply Jet Black Archival Ink from Ranger Ink to the script stamp out of the For The Love of Circles stamp from Ranger Ink. Randomly stamp the script on the rectangle five times as desired. Apply Jet Black Archival Ink from Ranger Ink to the dot stamp out of the Gals and Borders stamp from Ranger Ink. Randomly stamp the dots on the rectangle five times as desired. Ink the edges of the rectangle using Black Soot Distress Ink and a Blending Tool with Foam from Ranger Ink. Die cut the small tag out of the Planner Essentials 26 – Planner Pocket 4 – Tags & Toppers die from Elizabeth Craft Designs out of Super Stock cardstock from Creative Scrapbooker Magazine. Cut the tag down to 4”. Place The Best Hearts Stencil from Ranger Ink onto the tag. Using a blending tool with foam and Carnation Dina Wakley Media – Acrylic Paint from Ranger Ink, put the paint through the stencil as desired. I put a total of seven hearts on the tag. Once the paint has dried, apply Jet Black Archival Ink from Ranger Ink to the dot stamp out of the Gals and Borders stamp from Ranger Ink. Randomly stamp the dots on the tag five times as desired. Ink the edges of the tag using Black Soot Distress Ink and a Blending Tool with Foam from Ranger Ink. Choose a piece of patterned paper that coordinates with the stitched rectangle out of the Collage Collective from Ranger Ink. Die cut a 4 ½” Stitched Rectangle from Elizabeth Craft Designs out of the patterned paper. Ink the edges of the rectangle using Black Soot Distress Ink and a Blending Tool with Foam from Ranger Ink. Apply Jet Black Archival Ink from Ranger Ink to the Grid out of the Textures stamp from Ranger Ink. Stamp the grid stamp onto a piece of Super Stock Cardstock from Creative Scrapbooker Magazine. Trim the grid piece to measure 2” x 4 3/8”. Ink the edges of the grid piece using Black Soot Distress Ink and a Blending Tool with Foam from Ranger Ink. Apply Jet Black Archival Ink from Ranger Ink to one of the large hearts out of the Collaged Hearts stamp from Ranger Ink. Stamp the large heart stamp onto a piece of watercolor cardstock. Color the heart in using a waterbrush and Scribble Sticks Set #2 (Blushing & Sedona) from Ranger Ink. Trim the large heart out. Ink the edges of the large heart using Black Soot Distress Ink and a Blending Tool with Foam from Ranger Ink. Apply Emboss It Ink from Ranger Ink to the I’m Here For You Sentiment out of the Just What To Say stamp from Ranger Ink. Stamp the sentiment onto a piece of Super Stock Cardstock from Creative Scrapbooker Magazine. Sprinkle Boho Blends – Wrought Iron Embossing Powder from Emerald Creek Craft Supplies over top of the sentiment. Tap off the excess powder and emboss with a heat tool. Fussy cut the sentiment out. Using E-Z Runner from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L to adhere to the 4” stitched rectangle to the 4 ½” stitched rectangle. Use 3D Foam Squares from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L to adhere the grid piece ½”from the left and ½” from the top of the 4” stitched rectangle. Use E-Z Runner and 3D Foam Squares from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L to adhere the tag ¾” from the right and 5/8” from the bottom of the 4” stitched rectangle. Use 3D Foam Squares from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L to adhere the large heart 3/8” from the left and 1 ½” from the top of the 4” stitched rectangle. Use E-Z Runner and 3D Foam Squares from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L to adhere the sentiment 3/8” from the right and 1” from the bottom of the 4” stitched rectangle. Cut a cardbase out of Superstock Cardstock from Creative Scrapbooker Magazine that measures 5 ¾” x 9”, score at 4 ½”. Use E-Z Runner from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L to adhere the card front to the cardbase. To finish off the card, use a paintbrush to splatter Distress Spray Stain – Brushed Pewter from Ranger Ink on the card front as desired. Allow lots of time for the splatters to dry on the card.
