Did you ever get one of those timeless stamps that you know that you can use in a million projects? I may have just βa fewβ. Recently I took out this amazing heart stamp from Impression ObsessionΒ (Wavy Line Heart) and I have been creating and creating and creating with it AND guess what, it is still on my desk because this stamp is simply not done with me yet. So far I have created 4 projects with it, 2 cards, a scrapbook page, and an altered piece of cardstock that I have not used in an actual project yet because I love it so much. I just donβt want to cut it up or put anything on it, yet, lol. I simply love it just like it is.
The βI LOVE USβ card was my husband’s valentine’s card. Brian actually gets offended if I buy a commercially built card for him β¦. I did this once, hmmm, I wonβt do βthatβ again! Brian loves blue so blue was dominant for this project from the heart. I just love customizing my cards for my loved ones, making them uniquely theirs.Β The second card was built for our youngest grand handsome boy, Max. I choose primary colors for Max as these happy colors simply remind me of his happy little face. The hearts danced from the front to the back of this project (Max loves to dance) as I love to create keepsakes that look awesome from whatever angle you look at them. The third project was a scrapbook page that I designed for an amazing photo that I was lucky enough to capture of a snuggle between Papa & Max.Β This scrapbook page is NOT hidden in a scrapbook, I NEED TO SEE it so I purchased a 12 X 12 frame for it and placed it in a place that I can easily see it and it can make me smile every day. Here is the framed layout.Β The 4th project is at the moment simply a gorgeous, one of a kind, piece of altered Super Stock β¦. my favourite cardstock to work on! AMAZING 130lb cardstock that takes what I can throw at it and comes back for more. What I do on one side, does not affect the other side, especially when I use pigment ink (which I almost always use because of its versatility & of course because pigment ink will stand the test of time). I love the 130lb weight, as it gives my projects a beautiful substance that turns my cards and projects into gifts. This gorgeous custom, altered page has inspired me to create another project so that is why the Impression Obsession heart stamp has not left my desk yet. That undone project is finished in my βstamping mindβs eyeβ and I hope to share that with you in the near future. May you find a stamp that inspires you to create project after project, as this one did for me. I could put this stamp away and never use it again and still know that I got my moneyβs worth and more out of it β¦.. but that is not going to happen, like I said β¦. this stamp is simply not done with me yet!
All stamps used in these projects were from Impression Obsession and all choice of stamp pads were from the Tsukineko line of pigment ink.
Happy stamps and happy ink = happy, happy projects!
