Spring is in the air! And so is the feeling of spring cleaning. In the craft room, I have been in a “bash my stash” mood in order to help unclutter and organize. I love being able to use up full packages of embellishments or finishing off a roll of washi. It’s such a great feeling!
So, when I received my free Sale-a-Bration packs of the Oh So Ombree 6×6 patterned paper I wanted to figure out a way to use it rather than leave it on my shelf collecting dust. It always helps when you love the product that you are trying to “bash”. The ombre style in this paper package allows me to use die cuts to create fast and gorgeous projects. I began with the blue ombre paper and paired it with the Stampin’ Up! Many Layered Blossoms die. The colours are gorgeous and really help this floral die cut pop. I can easily crank out a dozen of these cards in an hour. And that’s what I intend to do. With that idea, I found my retired Springtime Impressions framelits and die cut a butterfly as well as another floral pattern and played around until I was happy with the placement. I wasn’t happy with the butterfly until I die cut an extra butterfly using the patterned paper.
The sentiments come from the Hydrangea Haven stamp set. It has a fantastic font pairing if you ask me. As always and typical of my style, I add some Whale of a Time sequins to finish off these clean and simple designs. And that, my friends, is how you can bash your paper stash with limited supplies.
