Hey Creative Scrapbooker Fans! For today’s blogpost, I’m sharing with you how I created these adorable Halloween Cards using the Simple Stories Faboolous Collection. Along with Super Stock from Creative Scrapbooker Magazine and adhesive from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L. You’ll want to grab a cup of your favourite beverage and learn all about my cards at home.
To start, we’ll create the Enter If You Dare Card.
Out of the Faboolous Paper Pack from Simple Stories, you’ll need the Batty for Candy Paper, Sweet & Spooky Paper, and Shrieks & Screams Paper. Cut a piece from the bat side of the Batty for Candy Paper that measures 4” x 5 ¼”. Cut a piece from the green leaf side of the Sweet & Spooky Paper that measures 3 ¾” x 5”. Cut a piece from the cat side of the Shrieks & Screams Paper that measures 3 ½” x 4 ¾”. Sand the edges of all three papers. Out of the Faboolous Paper Pack from Simple Stories, you’ll need the 2×2/4×4 Elements Paper, Jeepers Creepers Paper and Hey Ghoul Hey Paper. Cut a piece from the candy corn side of the 2×2/4×4 Element Paper that measures 1 3/8” x 4 1/8”. Cut a piece from the polka dot side of the Jeepers Creepers Paper that measures 1 ¾” x 4”. Cut a piece from the heart side of the Hey Ghoul Hey Paper that measures 1” x 3 ½”. Sand the edges of all three papers. Choose a tag off the Tag Elements Paper out of the Faboolous Paper Pack from Simple Stories. Cut the tag out and sand the edges. Fussy cut two ghosts off the Hey Ghoul Hey Paper from the Faboolous Paper Pack from Simple Stories. Sand the edges of the ghosts. Cut the Enter if you Dare words into three words strips off the 2×2/4×4 Elements Paper out of the Faboolous Paper Pack from Simple Stories. Sand the edges of the word strips. Take the Haunted House out of the Faboolous Bits & Pieces from Simple Stories. Fussy cut around the house to remove the white. Use E-Z Runner from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L to adhere the green leaf paper to the multi bat paper. Adhere the cat face paper to the green leaf paper. Staple the polka dot paper ½” from the left and 3/8” from the top of the cat face paper. Use E-Z Runner from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L to adhere the candy corn paper 1” from the right and ¼” from the top of the cat face paper. Staple the heart paper 3/8” from the right and 5/8” from the top of the cat face paper. Use 3D Foam Squares from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L to adhere the tag ½” from the left and 3/8” from the top of the cat face paper. Use E-Z Runner from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L to adhere the two ghosts as desired on the edge of the tag. Use 3D Foam Squares from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L to adhere the haunted house to the middle of the tag, making sure you can see the two ghosts. Use E-Z Runner from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L to adhere the three word strips to the bottom portion of the tag as desired. Add five Faboolous Enamel Dots from Simple Stories to the cardfront as desired. Cut a cardbase out of Super Stock Cardstock from Creative Scrapbooker Magazine that measures 4 ¼” x 11”, score at 5 ½”. Use E-Z Runner from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L to adhere the cardfront to the cardbase. Now, we’ll create the Happy Halloween Card. Out of the Faboolous Paper Pack from Simple Stories, you’ll need the Hey Ghoul Hey Paper, Hello, Pumpkin Paper and Jeepers Creepers Paper. Cut a piece from the heart side of the Hey Ghoul Hey Paper that measures 4” x 5 ¼”. Cut a piece from the pumpkin face side of the Hello, Pumpkin Paper that measures 3 ¾” x 5”. Cut a piece from the polka dot side of the Jeepers Creepers Paper that measures 3 ½” x 4 ¾”. Sand the edges of all three papers. Out of the Faboolous Paper Pack from Simple Stories, you’ll need the 2×2/4×4 Elements Paper, and Hey Ghoul Hey Paper. Cut a piece from the candy corn side of the 2×2/4×4 Element Paper that measures 2 ½” x 4”. Cut a piece from the heart side of the Hey Ghoul Hey Paper that measures 1 ¼” x 1 7/8”. Sand the edges of both papers. Choose a tag off the Tag Elements Paper out of the Faboolous Paper Pack from Simple Stories. Cut the tag out and sand the edges. Take the Pumpkin out of the Faboolous Journal Bits from Simple Stories. Fussy cut around the pumpkin to remove the white. Sand the edges of the pumpkin. Take the Frankenstein, two bats and Happy Halloween Banner out of the Faboolous Bits & Pieces from Simple Stories. Fussy cut around all the pieces to remove the white. Sand the edges of all three pieces. Use E-Z Runner from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L to adhere the pumpkin face paper to the heart paper. Adhere the polka dot paper to the pumpkin face paper. Staple the candy corn paper ¾” from the left and ¼” from the top of the polka dot paper. Use E-Z Runner from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L to adhere the heart paper 1/16” over the right side and 1 7/8” from the bottom of the polka dot paper. Use 3D Foam Squares from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L to adhere the tag ¼” from the left and ½” from the top of the polka dot paper. Use E-Z Runner and 3D Foam Squares from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L to adhere the pumpkin as desired on the tag. Use E-Z Runner from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L to the top right portion of the pumpkin as desired. Use 3D Foam Squares from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L to adhere the Frankenstein to the left side of the pumpkin as desired. Use E-Z Runner from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L to adhere the two bats around Frankenstein as desired. Add five Faboolous Enamel Dots from Simple Stories to the cardfront as desired. Cut a cardbase out of Superstock Cardstock from Creative Scrapbooker Magazine that measures 4 ¼” x 11”, score at 5 ½”. Use E-Z Runner from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L to adhere the cardfront to the cardbase. Here are a few closeups of the finished card.
