Get ready to create a stunning background using an array of Ranger Mixed Media products! Check out this beautiful layout designed by Nicole Wright that was featured in the Spring issue of Creative Scrapbooker Magazine. Begin by applying a layer of Dina Wakley Media Gesso to your surface to prime it for your masterpiece. Once dry, unleash your creativity with Tim Holtz Distress Crayons, blending vibrant colors across the canvas to build depth and dimension.
With Ranger Mixed Media products and a touch of creativity, you’ve created a work of art that’s sure to impress!
Here are some STEP-BY-STEP photos
1. Apply an even coat of Ranger Dina Wakley Media white gesso with a paint brush starting in the center of the paper and feather out. You don’t have to cover the whole page with gesso. I left a couple inches without around the edges. Set aside and let dry completely. 2. Scribble the Ranger Tim Holtz Distress crayons right over the gesso. Overlap each of your colours slightly. 3. Lay the Stampers Anonymous Tim Holtz stencil right over the scribbles. Use a baby wipe or damp cloth to lift the colour through the stencil. Repeat around the page using a variety of different stencils. 4. Once you are happy with the stencil design, hold the page upright and spritz with water. The water reacts with the Distress crayon and drips down the page. Once dry, embellish your paper with stamps, die cut flowers and torn scraps of paper from your scrap paper bin.
