I just got back from the CreativFestival in Tornoto – I had just an amazing time. So wonderful to work with such amazing people. Cathie Allan and Sue Sykes joined me for the weekend and they were simply awesome – I giggled so hard all weekend! I can not say thank you enough to these two amazing ladies for joining the CS team! Okay – so for the past 4 years Katharina and I have gone to one of them most beautiful places on the planet to scrapbook for National Scrapbooking Day – Oasis Scrapbooking Bull River Retreat. Over the years the getaway grew to include any and all members of the CS team that could join us as well as some fabulous new found friends whom we meet there every year!!!! During this weekend we have soooooooooooooooo much fun and get sooooo much done for future issues of the magazine. This year much to my sadness, I was unable to attend:( – but have thoroughly been enjoying the posting of pictures on facebook and blogs about the event. What an ABSOLUTE blast! Crop 4 Kids was held last weekend in Calgary, Alberta. This is a phenomenal event that raises money for children’s hospitals. If you ever get a chance to go to one – PLEASE do! All the money raised goes to the little people who need it the most! Scrapbooking + helping the future = AWESOME! These events are held right across Canada – so there might just be one happenning near you. Amongst several activities that are held through out the weekend – one is a layout contest.
