Happy July 1st everyone!ย Connie Nichol here with a patriotic red and white Canada Day layout.ย I was briefly tempted to use non-traditional colours, but just couldn’t do it.ย LOL I used the July Canadian Scrapbooker sketchy challenge sketch as a starting point.ย It looks like this: I decided to start with a base of Core’Dinations Spotted cardstock.ย It looks so lovely and textured, especially when you sand a tiny bit off of the top. The other day I saw that Rhonda Steed had some free Canada day printables up on her blog (hot link www.rhondasteed.com) and I was totally inspired to use a couple of these project life typecards as part of my layout. Then, instead of reaching for patterned paper strips to follow the July sketch, I decided to use a variety of May Arts ribbon.ย Sometimes ribbon is a pain to adhere to a layout, especially skinny…

Here is my take on May Sketchy Challenge. ย Aren’t these Bo Bunny papers adorable? ย This collection is called “Happy Tails”. ย When I saw them I knew I had to make a scrapbook layout of our new puppy Finnigan! To create that background of red hearts, I designed a stencil with my Brotherโข ScanNCut machine. I also designed the “Puppy Love” title with the ScanNCutย and Core’dinations Colorcore Cardstock. If you’d like to watch another video that shows how I created the stencil heart background, click HERE to visit my blog. ย On my blog I also have the free cutting file of this…

Think Spring! Featuring BoBunny Woodland Winter and Quietfire Design Stamps In my part of Canada, we have plenty of winter, and plenty of snow,ย but usually the only time of year when the snow is melty enough to stick together and build a snowmanย is spring.ย Itโs too bad, really, because that also usually means that the snowman will not stick around for long.ย The higher sun angle and warmer temperatures during this time of year typically result in his rapid disappearance into a large puddle of icy water. The snowman building process is still fun though, especially if you use delicious cookies for eyes and buttons.ย I found a couple of photos from when my boys were little that brought back these memories.ย I was inspired to scrapbook them with the April sketch from the Canadian Scrapbooker sketchy challenge and some stunning papers and embellishments from BoBunny.…
