These past week, I remembered. I remembered what I have no first hand knowledge about. I remembered brave men and women I have never met. I celebrated the safety and freedom of my life. Today, my heart overflows with gratitude for the bravery and sacrifice of others. Thank-you. A few years ago, we were able to spend Canada Day in Ottawa. What an experience that was! I loved the ceremony and the pride and joy swelling from the crowds. I bet you are wondering why I am reminiscing about Canada Day on Remembrance Day. It is simply because we stopped at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier on that day. I guess I just felt the need to look at those photos again. And remember. Hi Everyone…or should I say, “Happy Halloween!” It’s Kelly here to share a layout. Do you have you have your costumes ready and spooky décor around the house? I know I have some cobwebs here and there! ha ha ha Here is a Halloween layout I designed using Simple Stories’ fun “Frankie and Friends” collection, along with some awesome Sizzix dies. I based my design on Sue Sykes’ October Sketch. Have you been playing with her sketches and uploading your layouts to our Sketchy gallery? Here are the three Sizzix dies I used: I die cut them from American Crafts glitter paper… love the sparkle! Beacon Adhesives is great for adhering these pieces: I bent the bat wings for added dimension and just glued their heads down.
