This collection has some great black and white patterns with hints of pinks and reds. They are so versatile! I chose to work with a photo of myself, from a little while ago. Today on our blog, Kerry Engel is sharing some beautiful watercolour effects on her scrapbook page using Tombow Dual Brush Pens. I love making my own embellishments. This layout began with a doodled flower that I created last summer. I actually have a stash of Tombow flowers just waiting for a story that needs telling (and embellishing). It’s so easy to make your own embellishments with Tombow Dual Brush Pens. In this layout I used the Tombows to create the following accents: 1. Journaling strips 2. Watercoloured flowers 3. Hand lettered title. Make your own customized journaling strips 1. Layer different colors of Tombow ink on watercolour or mixed media paper. 2. Wash with water to create an ombre, watercolour effect. 3. Let it dry then run it through a printer. The first time round I cut the paper into thin journaling strips. Ah…..Connie Nichol here today. There is nothing like sitting down with a crisp new issue of Creative Scrapbooker Magazine and a cup of tea. Especially in the summer when you are sitting outside in a lawn chair listening to the birds singing and the grass feels good under your bare feet. I snapped this picture a couple of summers ago, and it still makes me smile when I look at it. To scrapbook this picture, I used products from Fancy Pants Designs Office Suite line. It’s a very versatile paper line containing everything from soft pastels and delicate florals to bold black and white patterns. Hello everyone, it’s Kim Gowdy here today! This is kind of a “sequel” to my last post where I coloured on Core’dinations Glitter Cardstock. This time I want to share a similar idea but with a REALLY cool new product…Core’dinations Glitter Prints. This card was made by downloading a colouring design from the Chameleon Pens website. You have to sign up for their newsletter to access the downloads…it so worth it because you get lots of tutorials and eye candy! It was printed on the Glitter Prints and coloured using my Chameleon Pens. Though hard to see in this image…it shimmers and shines! Good day Creative Scrapbookers! Jayme Loge here today with a few layouts from my craft table. I wanted to play with a few simple supplies and try to create a couple of layouts with them. I started with a few sheets of We R Memory Keepers patterned paper and coordinating sticker set, a few sheets of Bazzill cardstock and an American Crafts alphabet set. Here’s what I did with them: First, I started off using the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine’s sketch from this month’s “Let’s Get Sketchy” challenge – CLICK HERE to download your take on this sketch! I added the heart to the background with some ‘vintage’ Heidi Swapp masks and Inca Gold paste. These bottles filled with vibrant pigment ink have been showing up on all our Design Team projects! Here Desiree Saskiw has used citronella coloured Aladine Izink distributed by Clearsnap to create a bright journaling block in the center of her layout. She then added her journaling and doodled frame using a black Creative Memories black Dual-Tip pen. All those little chipboard elements are stuck on her layout using Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L Dodz. Hello everyone! Kelly Klapstein here to share my take on the January sketch Challenge. Our family spent a wonderful 3 days of the Christmas break in Jasper, so I snapped lots of photos and wanted to scrapbook them. I love this shot of my son and his girlfriend, hockey sticks in hand, skating on the outdoor lake with the mountains in the background. I used the new BoBunny winter collection “White Out.” It is such an awesome collection for any winter layout! The collection comes with papers, stickers, ephemera, die cuts, buttons, etc. all matching to make designing the layout really easy. For my title, I hand lettered the word “Frozen” with a Tombow Dual Brush pen and then scanned it and cut it out with my Brother ScanNCut machine. I also designed this cute snowflake heart with the Brother ScanNCut and cut it out from Canadian Scrapbooker SuperStock.…
