I love to create a layout with lots and lots of layers. When I am mixing and matching patterns I like to choose designs with contrast. If the patterns don’t have quite as much contrast, but I want them to appear together, I will often mat the pattern in a solid cardstock. This gives the pattern the definition it needs to stand out from other surrounding patterns.
I used the Core’dinations Glitter Prints A7 Card as a mat for my photo. I wanted to add that bit of sparkle to my layout. I also used it for my title block. I tore the edges of one of my photo mats, because it would be a shame if you didn’t see that stunning core colour!
I created a layered border from a combination of the oh so pretty May Arts Ribbon, cardstock and patterned paper.
Thanks so much for taking a closer peek at my Core’dinations creation!

Love, love, love~ so happy to see your work here, Tracy! And, gotta love that May Arts Ribbon.
Beautiful layout! I’m not usually a fan of one picture layouts, but I really love this one. Your eye is still drawn to the photo, even with all the pretty layers (and the ribbon you used is gorgeous!).
