Hey Creative Scrapbooker Fans! With Easter right around the corner, I thought I would share with you today an Easter card for that special someone in your life. Using the Butterfly Kisses Collection from Bo Bunny, a variety of dies from Elizabeth Craft Designs, stamps, stones and embossing powder from Emerald Creek Craft Supplies and a variety of products from Ranger Ink, I was able to create this beautiful Easter card. You’ll want to make sure to grab a cup of your favourite beverage, as I will show you how to recreate this project in the comforts of your own home. Using the Gatefold – Elegant Rose die from Elizabeth Craft Designs, die cut the gatefold out of Tutu Double Dot from Bo Bunny. With the gatefold cut out, trim two pieces out that measure 2” x 1 ¾”. Apply Emboss It Ink from Ranger Ink to both pieces. Once the ink is…

This week we will be featuring a blog post Christy created for us 3 years ago. When to stop and when not to? by Christy Riopel January always makes me a little introspective and I tend to scrapbook more interpersonal stuff this time of year. I created this layout about dealing with the old(er) girl in the mirror these days. SUPPLIES: FabScraps pattened paper and chipboard, Aladine Izink inks distributed by Clearsnap, May Arts ribbon, Impression Obsession stamps, ColorBox Surfacez ink by Clearsnap, Spellbinders dies and Grand Calibur die cutting machine, Dymo Label Maker, Ranger Industries gel pen, Beacon Adhesives. It ended up being an exploration in not just one hard question ( when did I get this old?) but in another unrelated question I often face….. When do I stop? When is enough on a layout? Here is a picture of what It looked like when I first thought it was…

Hi everyone,Kim here ? Thanks for checking into the CSM blog today. I just wanted to share this month’s sketch, designed by Kelly Klapstein. This month’s sketch was designed with card making in mind, ‘tis the season of making, giving and receiving cards! It’s a great sketch! I however used it as a starting point for a layout. That’s is the cool thing about sketches…they are simply a starting point for creativity. I used Close to My Heart’s “City Sidewalk” collection. I ADORE everything about this collection, it’s full of fun, whimsical papers, die cuts and glittery accents and also has a corresponding Cricut cartridge to keep the fun going strong! I decided to make a gift card holder while I had all this fun product out, I’ll need a few more before December 25th! As you can see, I did not follow the sketch for the card…but plan to…

I added some simple splatters of my Clearsnap ColorBox Spritzers to the bottom left hand corner of my layered cardstock base. Do you LOVE to use ribbon on your layouts…

In loving memory of Christy Riopel – here is a blog post from Feb 2013 that was featured on our blog. It is written in Christy’s words. Making a Ribbon Mat for Your Page I love the texture of ribbons and I am always looking for a new way to use it on my page. In this layout I created a mat with pieces of May Arts ribbons. I started with Be Creative Sookwang double sided tape, a big pile of awesome May Arts ribbon and a piece of scrap chipboard. I then put two strips of tape down each side of the chipboard. I cut several strips of ribbon just a bit longer then the chipboard. I attached the strips to the tape on one side. Wrapped it around the front and then attached it to the other side. I added some sheer ribbons and smaller ribbons over top of the…
