Hello, Connie Nichol here today with a fall layout featuring some gorgeous Momenta textured cardstock that has a dreamy water colour look. The cardstock comes in an 8×8 paper pad with three sheets of each design. Β The colours will go with almost everything. I put two of the 8×8 cardstock sheets in opposite corners on a sheet of 12×12 cardstock and then filled in the corners with some shimmery Art-C paint and a self adhesive stencil. Β Because hey, who doesn’t like to play with shimmery paint? Β This stuff is gorgeous. Β And the colour stops my heart. I filled in what was left of the gap between the stenciled paint and the cardstock with a piece of May Arts gingham ribbon, and then mounted my photograph. Β (P.S. By the way, especially for Canadians, I had this 8×8Β photoΒ enlargement printed at www.blacks.ca for 99 cents on a sale last month. Β I am super…

Hello everyone – Jayme Loge here with Tuesday with the Team! My kid is a bookworm, and when I saw Bo Bunny’s Beautiful Dreamer paper line, I knew it was meant just for her! Not only do I love the colour scheme, the book and imaginative images are wonderful. I paired the paper with Creative Scrapbooker’s October 2016 sketch: I am currently having a very serious love affair with the Ranger Dylusions paints and so decided to use them to create the background shapes on my layout. I laid down my stencil and applied the paint with a paper towel, β€˜ishing’ the circle shape. I used three colors that coordinated with the paper. I added a little of the green around the edges of the paper and lightly smooshed throughout the background for just a bit more texture. Once the paint was dry, I built my layout on top. One…

Hello, Connie Nichol here today with a layout featuring Bo Bunny, Elizabeth Craft Designs Way with Words dies and a Quietfire Design stamp. Β  This layout was inspired by the September sketch in the Creative Scrapbooker Sketchy Challenge. Β It turned out looking nothing like the sketch, but hey. Β That’s the creative process. Β A sketch is a good place to start! Here’s the September sketch designed by Kelly Klapstein. Β Be sure to go check out the new Sketchy Gallery and upload your interpretation of this sketch. Β I love to see how everyone else’s projects turn out. The photos in this layout are of my friend Sue and her beautiful daughter Caitlin from 11 years ago. Β We used to take our children on all sorts of little adventures, and although the kids don’t remember any of them now, not a single one, the stamped quote is totally true. Β All the things we…

Hello! Kim here with a cute, quick all-occasion card. I like making all-occasion cards because it’s simple to pull out and use for whatever event requires a card. I can always stamp a sentiment on the inside at a later date, as needed. For this card I used one stamp! This adorable flower cluster from Impression Obsession. I love it! I also used Susan Weckesser β€œcolor POP mini” inks fromΒ Clearsnap. One stamp, three inks! The base of my card is done by stamping a diagonal floral line. I stamped the ink off twice before using the third impression. This gave me a very nice gray, recessed background. On a scrap piece of CSM Super Stock I stamped three images in black ink. I pressed my coloured ink pads down on a non-stick surface and used the ink plus water brush to colour the images. I β€œfussy cut” my flowers and…

Graphic 45 is known for their unique vintage style, with bold deco patterns. You might think that you could only use vintage photos to create heritage layouts, but that is just not true. Today I am sharing a layout that I created using 2 recent photos of our daughter Zoe. This collection is beautiful and can be for any type of photo you choose. Zoe has just graduated high school and is heading to university in Montreal in the fall. Where has the time gone? These photos, taken by a a photographer friend of hers, show more than ever just how grown up, beautiful and independent she has become. We are so proud of her. This collection from Graphic 45 suits that sentiment perfectly. Happy Tuesday! Tracy McLennon here today on the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine blog! Life In Color, what a great name for a collection…nicely played Simple Stories. That being said, I love the colours in this collection, so vibrant and rich. I have always loved earthy tones, I think it comes from the fact that I have a red tinge to my hair…pinks and purples just do not work for me. But since Sean and his beautiful girls came into my life, they have brought me an entire rainbow of colours I can now craft with! Now I’m living a Life In Color!
