Hello everyone – Tracy McLennon here!
Today I am working with the La Vie En Rose collection from Close To My Heart. This collection has some great black and white patterns with hints of pinks and reds. They are so versatile!
I chose to work with a photo of myself, from a little while ago. It just happened to be in black and white which is perfect with this collection. But remember, that is an option you can ALWAYS choose with your own photos when printing. That way you are never restricted by the colours in your photos when picking patterned papers to craft with.
Project Recipe:
Close To My Heart– La Vie En Rose Collection- patterned papers, stamps and flair
Dye Ink- Fern, Pomegranate and Black
3D Foam Dots from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L
Circle Punches- 1.75”, 1.5” and 1.25”
Coloured Pencils
Enamel Dots
My first step was to stamp and colour my flowers and leaves with coloured pencils. Then I set them aside. I created my layered background, then traced a circle using a pencil onto the white cardstock. I cut all sorts of patterned and solid circles and placed them around the large circle. Before adhering the circles, I stamped leaves in the spaces and erased the pencil marks still showing.
I added my layered border near the middle of the layout, then I began adhering the circles. Some I glued straight to the background, some I popped up.
Then I simply added my matted photo, and the cute little stamped photo tab.
I have a LOVE of circles, thanks for stopping by and letting me share my Close To My Heart circle layout with you.
Have a wonderful day!
