So here we areโฆthe last Friday in August! Where did the time go? I hope you made some great memories with your family this summer. Letโs hope for lots of nice weather in our near future! Starting next week, our school aged kids will start to trickle back into the school system; some not until after Labour Day weekend. Regardless, we will hear the moaning of kids all over Canada as we pull the out of bed EARLY! Have fun with THAT!!! This week Cindy Allen lets us peek into her creative space… I have been scrapbooking for 10 years. During this time I have scrapbooked in my dining room, kitchen and pretty much where ever I could find a spot!ย My husband and I have been at this home for two years. When we first saw it, I noticed the room off the living room and knew it would…
Friday, August 14th already! How did that happen! Soak in your summer days before getting the kids ready for a new school yearโฆthereโs still LOTS of time for summer fun and making scrapbooking memories! This week we will visit Judi Cruickshankโs creative space in Owen Sound, Ontario! Letโs take a quick peek into her space. You will LOVE all the cabinets she has for organizing her stash! Here are some photos of my craft room!ย My husband Bill and I created it just before I retired and I have gotten so much enjoyment from scrapping in my personal, organized space!ย My granddaughters, girls, and my best friend Laurie also enjoy it so much! Thanks Judi for letting us in, it’s a great space for scrapbooking and spending time with your family and friends! LOVING all of your storage!
Happy Friday! We are sharing ShawnaLeeโs scrapbooking room today. It is relatively new creative space to her as she shared these with Canadian Scrapbooker Magazine in February, and we are getting to share them with you now! Moving is never easy and when you have lived in the near perfect home for 12 years, it is even harder. I recently moved from my beloved house and scrapbook room into a new community and new house. Starting over was difficult. I now share space with the kidโs playroom; though we have tried to make the spaces distinct. My new area is very functional and organized which I love. The shelving is perfect for all the paper, ribbon, buttons, flowers and other embellishments. I also love the two crafting spaces I have in my new room. The long desk that I sit at we made from two purchased drawers plus a…
Can you believe we are heading into the long weekend of August already! I so wish I could slow these wonderful, long days of summer down. They have not been as restful andย carefree as I had hoped; but I keep trying. Always seems that something finds itself on my to do plate! This week I want to share a couple of pictures of some of the fantastic spaces we have seen on WHERE YOU CREATE! I continue to LOVE that we get to glimpse into your space to see how you work! I think I keep good company with those who are always looking for great ideas to store and organize our countless supplies and treasures! So as you get ready for you long weekend plans, whether on the road or in the comfort of your home, think about what you LOVE about your space. Do you have a great…
Another Fridayโฆanother WHERE YOU CREATE! Todayโs creative space is really cool. Weโve shared a lot of great rooms recently but it has been a long time since weโve shared a smaller space; not everyone has ability to convert an entire room into a scrapbooking space. I LOVE how Kelly has converted a closet into a fabulous, functioning work area! Hello! We are finally all moved and everything is set up. We bought an old house and have been renovating for 7 months. I have converted a 59 x 36 closet ย into my “Scrap Pit”. This will be my working area. Papers and other goodies are stored around the house. I used an Ikea table top, Ikea cart and Ikea file drawers.ย My Best Craft Organizer hides a lot. I am loving the small place and was surprised how much I could get into it. It is in my laundry room, so…
We are back with another WHERE YOU CREATE. Not only is the room we are sharing well organized, the story of the room will speak to many. A room where family and friends gather to create. I envision it a room filled with laughter, stories and I am sure some tearsโฆa creative, healing room! Letโs go! I would like to share with you photos of a wonderful craft room my mother (Diane Oliphant) has created. ย Here, three generations; my mom, myself & my daughter, as well as many friends have come together to scrapbook, make cards or do any other wonderful, crafty creations. ย It is fondly referred to by many as the “Scrapyard”. ย At times she has hosted up to 6 us for an afternoon or evening of creating and sharing. ย Many times she also has provided us with a delicious โhome-cookedโ lunch. ย As you see in the photos…
Friday again! That means we have another scrapbooking room to visit! We are off toย Port Elgin, Ontario to swoon over Marlee Craven’s light filled room! Hi Kim, I would love to share my Happy Scrappy Place with you!!!ย I have beautiful French doors at the entrance of my room to allow some privacy and lightโฆ also to keep my fur babies out if I need to!!Ha!ย My Ikea gate leg table folds out in a jiffy providing me with lots of scrapping space; for me or to share with a scrappy friend!ย This room faces east and with the large front window, there is TONS of natural light.ย I have recollection cubes, carts, and shelves as well as an Ikea cabinet to store everything โฆalbums, paper, inspirational books & magazines (like Canadian Scrapbooker Magazine; of course!!!), stamps, inks, ribbons, embellishments, misc. tools, dies, Cricut, Big Shot and texture boutique.ย …
Hope everyone is settling into summer! Kids are sleeping in, no lunches to make [YAH!!!] and even if you are working, there seems to be a weight lifted off our shoulders. I think itโs because there are still lots of hours of daylight left after the workday to play! If you are as fortunate as Judy Beeksmaโฆyou might even have a great creative space to hide in on the rainy days or into the wee hours of the night.I thought I would send these pictures off to you of my scrapbook space.ย It is the most wonderful room and I love creating here. It is not always this tidy; but these pictures were taken just after I had redesigned it. Enjoy! Thanks Judy for letting us visit this gorgeous space!
We are back again with another WHERE YOU CREATE. We are heading to New Brunswick to visit Raymonde’s crafting room, I know you’ll want to get an invite to visit her…her room is full of crafty stuff. Corners and cabinets waiting to be opened to the treasures they hide within! My space is my little piece ofย heaven where I can go and let all those ideas out. I also call it my therapy room, i love organizing it and it is big enough to have 3 to 4 friends over. Fromย scrapbooking, smashing, project life, card making, mini album even painting and sewing…this room serves my needs. Thanks so much Raymonde for letting us into your craft room! It looks like a wonderful place to play!
Can you believe it’s time for WHERE YOU CREATE already? These weeks are going by way too fast! Time to slow down and visit Anna’s craft room! Lots of great organizing ideas and a pretty sneaky suspicion that PINK is Anna’s favourite colour. Here are some pictures of my โPretty in Pinkโ craft room.ย It is still new to me as I only completed it last October. ย I still had most of my scrapbooking and crafts in boxes from the last time we moved and newer things, still in the bags from the store. ย Once my son was old enough to sleep in a big boy bed, we moved him to a new bedroom and I started working on my own spaceโฆ a place that is all mine! It was a lot of work, a lot more than I imagined but it was totally worth the effort! ย Not only…
