Another Friday has made it into our lives! I am frantically packing last minute things for our holidays; it leaves me feeling anxious and excited at the same time! ย One thing that ranks up there on the “awesome list” with holidays is a well organized craft space! You will LOVE Christine Traversa’s space. She has some great ideas for keeping things in their organized place The room was 9 long years coming together, but worth the wait. When I first come in the door, I have my patterned paper on a tall rack, and a long work table with stools. I love this work area, my daughters sometimes paint there and it is very handy for holiday gift wrapping. I wanted a space to have all my “color agentsโ I have them in a recessed wall area on shelves. This includes watercolor and acrylic paints, pastels, colored embossing powders, colored…
Guess what? Itโs Friday again; which means we get to peek into another creative space! This week we are staying in Alberta. We are heading to Watervalley to visit Cheryle Newsome! Hi! I saw on Facebook where you will be showing our craft rooms every Friday.ย Here’s a peek into mine.ย I live in an old farmhouse in the foothills of Alberta, near Watervalley.ย The main floor has two bedrooms. When we moved in, the previous owner had removed the closet; from what is my craft room, to enlarge the master closet. I utilized the remainingย door frameย as temporary shelving until weย decide to fix it up. My most coveted piece is the large tilting, adjustable work table from Ikea. It comes complete with a window so I can use it as a built in light box for any tracing or light embossing. ย Above my curtains, I have strung all of the…
Here we are…Friday again! The may long weekend is behind us!ย Hope the long weekend was all you hoped it would be! This week we are looking into the well organized space of Ardel Doll; from Middle Lake,Saskatchewan! Take some time looking at each picture, there is lovely art work all over! I am sharing my art space for the first time. ย We moved into this home four years ago; the basement is not finished, so my future art room is in the dream stage!ย Until then, I have taken one of the bedrooms upstairs; this is where I create. I used to have two art tables to work on, but supplies overran the room, one table had to go [LOL]. I find it difficult to create if my space is cluttered; I try to keep my supplies organized and accessible. All of the storage items you see here are from Michaels.…

Happy May! Are you feeling like you made it through winter? We Canadians are a hardy bunch; many wouldnโt tolerate our weather woes as well! Now we get into our spring groove which will always lead to summer fun. Our calendars will fill with outdoor events, holidays and long weekends. Take in the warmth and light of the sunโฆyou deserve it! Letโs celebrate by taking a pause in our day to visit Bonnie Smithโs creative space! She has some great, easy organizing ideas that I am sure will inspire you! My room has gone through quite a few alterations over the past 11 years. I have found the best location to be just steps away from our family room. My favorite part of my space is my desk. It is 50% Michaelโs cubes and 50% my sisters carpentry. It’s just the right amount of work space and holds so…
Here we are…the last Friday in April! How did that happen? This is the time of year when I want the hours in the day to “slow down” so we can savour the sunshine and warmth. Winter is still fresh in many of our minds and we don’t need the next months to “whiz” by too fast! That said…grab a comforting beverage of your choice [you know mine will be a coffee!], take a big relaxing breath and sit for a moment to enjoy Sue Donald’s scrapbooking space! I’m excited that you’re sharing my scrap room; it’s my favourite place to be! When we moved to West Kelowna, we found a six bedroom house! My husband and I are both retired; the kids are on their own; so why did we need a six bedroom house? Number one reasonโฆvisitors! Then of course; a scrap room for me and a…
Whoa! How did we get to the middle of April already? Hope everyone is enjoying the longer days, I know I am. Light, later in the day gives me more energy to get out walking in the evenings and lets more light into my scrapbook room for longer periods of time. LOVE IT! Another thing I love is this gorgeous room we are sharing today! When my son (finally) moved out last summer, my husband gave me the best Christmas Gift of all. He laid new floor, added lots of lighting, repainted, remodelled and stocked the room with tons of storage space. I now have the perfect craft room to create and have fun on my own, or when I bring the 2 tables to the centre of the room, I have a class room for 6 people. This winter I also took up Knitting and Crochet, so the closet…
Happy Easter to those celebrating! Easter is always a sure sign of spring, even when it comes as early as this year. I hope everyone plans to enjoy their long weekend, and gets to spend time with friends and family! Though your days may be busy with entertaining and Easter commitments, please take a few minutes to enjoy Terrie Moar’s wonderful creative space! I am a mother of 4 and grandmother of 5. Now that all of my children are in their own homes, I have a room for myself to scrapbook, craft and make cards. We renovated our home in 2014 and my craft room was the second room to be done. I LOVE IT!!! Itโs about 10 x 17 and every space is used to its maximum. I love having the tall table in the middle of the room. I can stand or sit. I have a…
Sorry to be a bit late today with WHERE YOU CREATE. I was out last night to see Adam Lavigne/Maroon 5 in concert [where THEY create!] and didnโt get my blog post complete until this afternoon! I know many of you who โswoonโ over Adam will understand my scheduling dilemma! So without further ado, letโs get to this weekโs creative space! Diane Kohl lets us take a peek into very organized space! Here are a few shots of my little art space. We call it the blue room; it used to be my daughterโs bedroom that was painted her favorite color. It is also the smallest studio space I have ever had! To make it work functionally, I used plastic storage towers and book cases for floor to ceiling storage. I have a great paper cabinet; purchased from Canadian Tire about 12 years ago. For maximize space and lighting I…
