Can you smell it …. can you feel it ….. ? Fall is here and that means Christmas is right around the corner. Oh, for a card/tag maker this is the “funnest” time of the year. Break out ALL your Christmas stamps and your favorite mediums and create until the reindeer fly. This is what I have started my “Christmas card/tag journey” with, for 2019. I pulled out 3 of my favorite “Art Impressions”, Christmas sets then pulled out some of my favorite mediums, some paint, fiber, and ribbon. First I stamped and colored my images. Yes, because I love the light fastness of pigment ink I pulled out my “VersaFine” quick-dry pigment ink and stamped the images that I wanted to color. Coloring was easy with my artist quality pencil crayons and I used Gamsol to blend. Now for the tag background …. this was easy & crazy quick!…
Once upon a time there was a beautiful stamp that cried out to be used on a project or “6” J. This “beautiful stamp” came from Impression Obsession and was one of their new releases at “CREATIVATION” which was held in Phoenix in January. This stamp, part of a “geranium series” from Impression Obsession decided to go home with Cathie and she set to work creating “something”. Not really knowing what the project would become, Cathie set about simply altering a piece of Creative Scrapbooker Super Stock with her new, stamp and the Poinsettia pigment petal point from Clearsnap. Even though the name of this particular stamp pad “screamed Christmas”, Cathie looked past it and simply saw it also was a great combination of colors for a geranium image. She partnered her stamp with her “Cathie Allan Position-it2”, which is 3 tools in one. This tool can be used with…

In 20 minutes we like toshare with you some of our very favourite ideas, tools, toys, stamps, ink, paint and more. The Technique Taster’s may be short in time but they are“tall” in inspiration. For my part in the Technique Taster at Scrapfest in Kitchener (GOING ON RIGHT NOW) we will be creating one of these tags with in the Canadian Scrapbooker booth. I know we will have tons of fun as we take Canadian Scrapbooker “white Super Stock” tag and turn it into a “tag to remember”, using the Cathie Allan, Position-It, pigment ink, masking and smearing techniques that are easy and fun. Those of you who have stamped “a while” and those of you who are just beginning to explore the “fun ink filled” world of stamping will…
PRETTY IN ANY COLOUR, INSIDE & OUT. It is an exciting time in and around my house & life. So many things are changing and growing and one of those “things” is not a “thing” it is my wonderful, grandlovely girl, Rianne. She has decided she should become 18 years of age and although I have strived to try to get her to “grow up slower” she simply, did not. I cannot believe that this “very special birthday” of hers got here as quickly as it did. I thought I would share with you “part of her card” that I am preparing for this very special day. It is an 8X8 card, format because I know that the card will be able to be separated into individual 8X8 panels and then stored in an 8X8 album for her to enjoy until she is 98. I am using pigment ink to…
