Art Impressions Birthday Fairy Card

Hello, Connie Nichol here today with an easy birthday card made from an Art Impressions stamp and die set. Art Impressions has a huge selection of different interactive stamp sets which need to be pulled, unfolded, twisted, spun or shaken. Go check them out. The designs will be sure to bring a big smile to your face. Who doesn’t love to get a card that flutters or wobbles? I played with the Birthday Fairy set to create a couple of cards – the set comes with the stamps, dies and an action ‘wobble’. You can see from the side photo that the fairy’s skirt is dimensional and mobile. Here’s another slightly different version of the Birthday Fairy card in royal blue. Creating Die Cut Inserts – Card Making

Kim Gowdy is on our web show today walking you through how to create die cut inserts. This is a relatively simple technique that gives your project an added sense of depth and slightly more texture. This technique is even easier if you have coordinating dies for your stamps so you eliminate any tedious fussy cutting. The Art Impressions stamped image of the happy lady spinning in her office chair was stamped and then cut out with a coordinating die. Kim then used the coordinating die to cut out where she would like to place the image on her card. Next she simple adhered the die cut stamped image into the space – creating a die cut insert. Colouring with Chameleon Pens

Today on our blog, we welcome colouring artist Betty Hung who is sharing her thoughts on Chameleon Pens. I received a set of 22 Chameleon pens, plus a box of 16 Chameleon Color Cards last week, and I am off this week. Lucky me! What better way to spend your vacation days than trying out new coloring products? After playing with them for two days, I have to say I am in love with these Chameleon pens. Simply put, Chameleon pens are alcohol markers. They are designed so that you can achieve multiple tones from light to dark using one pen. These are alcohol based, so I wouldn’t use them on my coloring books unless they are single-sided. It soaked through 70 lb card stock paper that I used to print my coloring cards, so make sure you put extra protection underneath to protect your desk while coloring. Hi, Tracy here! Today I wanted to share a quick and easy card idea using Stampin’ Up! Stamps, Ranger Archival Ink, Chameleon Pens and Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L. Project Recipe: Stampin’ Up! – Falling Flowers Stamp Set- Flourishing Phrases Stamp Set (Sentiment) – Cardstock- white and black Ranger- Tim Holtz Distress Archival Ink- Soot Black – Stickles- Yellow Chameleon Pens – YO3, YG3, RD4, BG4, PR4 Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L- EZ Runner Grand, Black 3D Foam Squares I started with a piece of white cardstock that was 3.75×5. Using my Ranger Archival ink I stamped the Stampin’ Up! flowers and leaves along the top and bottom of the cardstock. This stamp set is perfect for trying Chameleon markers for the first time. The lines of the images are a little thicker, providing a little more forgiveness when colouring. Once my images were coloured I added my sentiment. I picked nice…
