Hello, Connie Nichol here today with a summer layout featuring digital cut files and a stamp from Quietfire Design. Β Β A few years ago my boys decided to canoe (i.e. float) down the North Saskatchewan River. Β They launched in Edmonton, and I was instructed to pick them up downstream in three hours time. Β Unfortunately, the river was quite low and the current slow, and it took a lot longer than the predicted three hours. Β Of course, my husband had no cell phone with him so I had no idea where the canoe was. Β I waited and I waited and they finally showed up…… phew. Β They have never repeated that particular adventure. I love the versatility of having an electronic die cutting machine. Β It’s amazing. Β Need a canoe to embellish a canoeing layout? Β Presto, wave the magic wand and cut a canoe, paddles and water with your Sizzix Eclips 2. Β Any…

While my layouts are usually less is more, and not full of patterned paper, I wanted to play around with paper on this oneβ¦I of course had to add a few dies as accents on my layout. This picture of my kids is from when they went zip lining in Maui a few years back.Β Its one of those few times where they are both looking at you, smiling, and not making weird or funny facesβ¦you know how it is sometimes.Β π I started with a neutral base for my layout, and thought I would add some fun patterned paper.Β I hand cut a few tag shapes from the patterns and layered them next to my photo. Using my Spellbinders Prizm die cutting and embossing machine I used varying elements from the Spellbinders S2-216 Die D-Lights Amused 1 and Spellbinders Β S2-227 Die D-Lites Springtime sets to create little accents in the…
Hi! Kim here! Just a quick share of layout I was working on before our summer holidays. I was tidying up some paper stash and came across one of my Scrap Shotz’ kits that needed some love! β¦and so starts the process! I used papers and die cuts from the Kaisercraft βBotanicaβ collection. I added a bit of dimension and interest to the leaves by outlining the leaf veins with my Pico Embellishers, aΒ fun product I was introduced to by Design Team member, Christy Riopel! I painted on a small amount of Art-C Ultra Chalk [soft, matte paint] where I wanted my journaling. Once dry, it provided a fantastic surface to write on with my Dylusions Black Marble paint pen. The Great Canadian Scrapbook Carnivals are right around the corner! AND we are super duper excited to start announce that are both for our Registration for our 9th annual…

Stamping with your Dies by Cathie Allan Mediums and tools that multi-task always have a special place in my creative heart. I totally enjoy looking at my creative tools, toys and mediums from various sides to see what I can get them to do for me other than the βintended useβ suggested by the manufacturer. For this blog post I decided to play with the βHeart Clasp Dieβ from Art Impressions. This die makes a lovely wrap for a card but by joining two of these dies I was able to wrap my scrapbook page and then of course wrapped my photo. I then took this die a βstamp stepβ forward by applying ink to the backside of the die I thus was able to use it as a stamp. Look at that die βgoβ!! To begin I made the Art Impressions, βHeart Clasp Dieβ perform as a stamp. Apply…
