Now, if this layout designed by Desiree Saskiw could speak it would say SUNSHINE and HAPPINESS! Am I right or am I right? What a beautiful bright happy design. Desiree built the background starting with a white piece of heavy white Super Stock and then started adding layers of different types of texture. One of the elements that really jumps out on this layout for me are the FOILS! They are all the rage right now and can be a bit overwhelming.  Whether you are just starting out OR are a seasoned “foiler” be sure to reach for Therm O Web Deco Foil Transfer Gel Duo. This fabulous medium allows you to add foils to your projects WITH or WITHOUT heat! Come again?!?!?!?!?! Love that versatility! Therm O Web products make adding foil to your project an absolute breeze! Here are a few cards I put together with a shiny finish. I created a card base using an Elizabeth Craft Designs die. Next, I started with a Therm O Web Deco Foil Toner Card Front. I sandwiched the card front into a piece of parchment paper, layered some Therm O Web Gina K. Designs Fancy Foils SHINY SIDE UP on top. Closed the sandwich and ran it through the laminator. WOWZERS! Those hearts sparkle. Next, I used a Therm O Web Gina K. Designs circle die to cut out a sentiment from the Therm O Web  Gina K. Designs Foil-Mates. I added the foil, in the same way, I added foil to the Toner Card Front. I wanted a little heart accent. So I took the Therm O Web Gina K. Designs heart die and cut…

Hello everyone – Kerry Engel here today on the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine blog. I had an afternoon of happy accidents recently when I was playing with Therm O Web Deco Foil Flock Transfer Sheets. I ended up creating a card and a scrapbook page. I started with my MultiCraft Forever in Time burlap. I wanted to see if I could add the Flock Transfer Sheets to MultiCraft Forever in Time burlap using the Therm O Web Deco Foil Transfer Gel Duo. The Transfer Gel DUO works two ways; you can transfer flocking or foil using heat from a laminator OR pressure from a die-cutting machine. Transfer Gel DUO is a permanent transfer medium that dries clear and remains tacky for easy use. I spread the Transfer Gel DUO through stencils and laid a piece of the Flock Transfer Sheet on top and ran it through my die cut machine. A…

Hello everyone! It’s Kerry Engel, here today to share with you an adorable card that is just begging to be touched. Between the embossing, stenciling and flocking this card is full of texture-therapy; for the maker and the receiver. Cards for any occasion are my favorite ones to keep in my stash. This cute little die-cut owl could be used on a multitude of occasions and I find his tummy is just the right size to hold a sentiment. My favourite trick when putting together more detailed die cut items is to use 3D Foam Squares under key areas. I used the Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L 3D Foam Squares to raise my owl’s head up and away from his body. Therm O Web Deco Foil Flock Transfer Sheets cut like butter and emboss like a boss. To create this adorable Owl I used the Therm O Web Deco Foil Flock Transfer…

Hello everyone! Kerry Engel here today on the Creative ScrapbookerMagazine blog playing with a FABULOUS new product by Therm O Web Deco Foil – Flock Transfer Sheets. I have fallen in love! Velvet, suede-like surfaces are now so easy to create using Therm O Web Deco Foil Flock Transfer Sheets; it’s easy and mess-free. There are 8 different colors of flocking  to choose from. Flocking adds a whole new dimension and character to your paper crafting projects. It adds texture and texture therapy is why I scrapbook. You can cut the Flock Transfer Sheets into shapes or you can transfer the flocking to cardstock using Transfer Gel. I applied a layer of Transfer Gel through a Clearsnap ColorBox Art Screen – this one is called ‘jumbled’. It will take an hour or so to dry. Lay the Flock Transfer Sheet fuzzy side down on the dried paste. Place the two…
