If you are like me and find watching embossing powder change to liquid as it heats up oddly satisfying, this is the technique for you! To create this card first cut out a base from Ranger Simon Hurley Create Stark White Cardstock. I used an Elizabeth Craft Designs Stitched Rectangle die. On a second piece of white cardstock, emboss the brick wall using a Tim Holtz Embossing Folder. Once embossed cut out the brickwall using a slightly small stitched rectangle die from the same Elizabeth Craft Designs die set. Adhere the brick wall in the center of the larger stitched rectangle using Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L E-Z Squares. Set aside. Next, on a piece of white cardstock, lay a Stampers Anonymous Tim Holtz stencil down. Apply Ranger Simon Hurley Create ink with a Mini Blending Tool. Lift up the stencil and gently spread the ink filling in the white spots.…
Using watercolor pencils and a waterbrush is the absolute easiest way to color detailed stamped images. Adding shading and highlights using this technique has never been easier! I like to use a fine tip waterbrush pen and I dip it in water rather than filling it up with water. So really you could use a fine tip paintbrush instead! Here is the card I created. I am SERIOUSLY in love with this stamp set from Heartfelt Creations. Cottages are super trendy right now in the crafting world and this is one of my favourite designs. To create this card… Using the Heartfelt Creations Countryside Cottage stamp, stamp onto a piece of watercolor paper. I used Ranger Archival ink so that the ink doesn’t run when I add water. Stamp the image using a stamping platform. Do not remove the stamp from the platform as you will re-stamp the image once…
What do you get when you mix Art Impressions Rubber Stamps with Simple Stories?!?!? A charming little card that makes you feel like spring! To create the card I cut a card front from a piece of pink striped patterned paper from the Simple Stories Bunnies & Bloom collection. I cut the same size card front from Ranger Simon Hurley Create Stark White cardstock. Using a Sizzix Framelits circle die, I cut out a circle window in the upper portion of both the card fronts – in the exact same spot. Using Glue Dots Adhesives Gluetape I adhered the two-card fronts together. This process made the pink stripe paper stronger so I could pop it up later. Next, cut out a piece of Prima Marketing white watercolor paper. Pop it into your Tonic Studios Tim Holtz Stamping Platform. Securing it into place. Stamp the Art Impressions floral stamp onto the…
First off, I bought this stamp set from Stampers Anonymous awhile ago and just haven’t had the chance to play with it. I finally pulled it out the other night and started to design with it. I had a smile on my face the entire time. How adorable are those little guys? Am I right or what?! LOLOL! Great job Tim Holtz! I ended up creating a number of little tags that I love! Here are the basic steps to create the tags 1. Using a Scrapbook.com Nesting Tag die and reinforcement circle, cut out a tag from a piece of Creative Scrapbooker Super Stock. 2. Place your tag in your stamp positioner along with the little bunny stamp. 3. Using a post-it note, cover up the sentiment on the bottom of the stamp so it doesn’t stamp on the tag. 4. Ink the stamp with Ranger Archival ink and…

Beautiful designs, no scissors necessary, and of course you can add your special touches if you like. All you need is adhesives. And for this card, I used Glue Dots Adhesives Pop-Up! Creating cards with background dies is my latest obsession. Speaking of OBSESSION – Impression Obsession has a variety of MUST HAVE background dies that are absolutely perfect for jazzing up your cards or being the star of the show! Here is the latest card I put together. First I cut out several of the Sunburst Background die from Impression Obsession using black cardstock. I adhered three of them together and let the third one peek slightly from behind so that it is blacker around the sun circle. I pulled out my Picket Fence Studios Life Changing Blender Brushes – these are a serious blending game changer. I used them to blend THREE of my favourite colours of Ranger Tim Holtz Distress ink onto a piece of Creative Scrapbooker Super Stock. These three colours look like a beautiful sunset! Using Art Glitter glue with a fine metal tip I adhered the…
Therm O Web products make adding foil to your project an absolute breeze! Here are a few cards I put together with a shiny finish. I created a card base using an Elizabeth Craft Designs die. Next, I started with a Therm O Web Deco Foil Toner Card Front. I sandwiched the card front into a piece of parchment paper, layered some Therm O Web Gina K. Designs Fancy Foils SHINY SIDE UP on top. Closed the sandwich and ran it through the laminator. WOWZERS! Those hearts sparkle. Next, I used a Therm O Web Gina K. Designs circle die to cut out a sentiment from the Therm O Web Gina K. Designs Foil-Mates. I added the foil, in the same way, I added foil to the Toner Card Front. I wanted a little heart accent. So I took the Therm O Web Gina K. Designs heart die and cut…
I pulled out the Echo Park Paper Co. Baby Girl paper collection the other night and started to play. This collection is so soft and pretty to work with. I created this card and although I don’t have anyone to give it to, I put it in my greeting card box that’s filled with cards for someone special when the time is right! I created the background using an Elizabeth Craft Designs die. The cardstock is from Ranger Simon Hurley Create – it just might be my favourite right now. I turned the die into a sticker using Sookwang double-sided adhesives. For the final touches, I used the coordinating Echo Park Paper Co. Baby Girl Sticker Book. This book is SERIOUSLY PACKED with stickers!!! I added dimension to the card using Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L 3D Foam Squares. Here is a FASTFORWARD look of the card coming together. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9MieVt_6oBc Have…
