Hey you!!! Come closer…. I want to tell you a secret! GREAT sketches, make GREAT layouts! I have pretty much religiously kept up with almost ALL of Creative Scrapbooker Magazine’s Sketchy Challenges since the beginning! I LOVE sketches and I LOVE putting my own twist to them. If you have never let a sketch work as a starting point for your creativity, try it out! Here is the February Sketchy Challenge, designed by Kerry Engel. Here is my take on the sketch. I pulled out an older Carta Bella collection that I had in my stash. It is the ‘Hello Fall’ collection from 2017, and YES, it is still available to buy! To give it a silhouette vibe, I stamped using Ranger’s Archival black ink. I like to work on a single piece of cardstock and then adhere to a card base with a permanent…

We may take a few day trips within our province, but that is the extent of what we feel like we can plan. Lucky for me, I was on a trip of a lifetime last summer and have many great memories that need scrapbooking. If this is as close as I get to some travel, then I acknowledge that this is not too shabby an option! I picked up a bunch of items from Echo Park Paper Co.’s Scenic Route line. They were perfect for scrapbooking photos from my trip to the UK last summer. These layouts cover less than 24 hours of our almost 3 week trip; I think I will need to pick up some more. It’s been a delight…
