GREAT sketches, make GREAT layouts! I have pretty much religiously kept up with almost ALL of Creative Scrapbooker Magazine’s Sketchy Challenges since the beginning! I LOVE sketches and I LOVE putting my own twist to them. If you have never let a sketch work as a starting point for your creativity, try it out!

Here is the February Sketchy Challenge, designed by Kerry Engel.Here is my take on the sketch. I pulled out an older Carta Bella collection that I had in my stash. It is the ‘Hello Fall’ collection from 2017, and YES, it is still available to buy! It was perfect for the autumn vibe I was going for.

I did not stress that my title didn’t go all the way around like the sketch, I adapted with the use of the Enamel Shapes from the collection. I like the way they add some extra interest and colour. I used alcohol ink markers to alter the white letters and LOVE that made them POP!

My journaling was done on the computer and sized to fit the space. After everything was stuck down with me Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L tape runner…I call it DONE!
