Hi everyone, Eileen Hull here today on the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine blog! I hope you are keeping cool this week! Temps in Virginia were at 100 degrees and I headed to the ocean with a couple of crafty friends. We loaded the truck up with enough supplies to last a year, even though we were only spending one night. Sound familiar? I had found a bag of shells in a dollar store and decided to create something with them. I have always been fascinated with how delicate they look and how strong they are! I used Clearsnap ColorBox Blends2 inks and Molten Dimensions embossing powders by Emerald Creek Craft Supplies to add color to the shells. They came out so pretty! I think it would be really cool to add these to a frame, shadowbox or even add to a tag or card if the shell was small enough. The…

Hi friends! I am just getting back from a trip to the Stamp & Scrapbook Expo in Orlando, FL. I taught there for the first time- two workshops and a presentation for the Wandering Planners. I was a little nervous.  I am used to packing up all my supplies in my vintage camper and driving to the classes I teach. If I forget anything, it’s just a walk out to the trailer. But flying is a different story. Have ever been to one of these shows? They are held all around the country- it’s basically a gigantic traveling scrapbook store. Vendors come and set up shops within the venue. The size of each show varies but there is enough to see and keep you busy all. day. long. And more! There are Make and Takes in many of the booths showing the newest products and demos sharing how to use…

Hello everyone, Nicole Wright here today on the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine blog with a fun process video creating a Travellers Notebook featuring a variety of products by  Prima  Marketing. Travellers Notebooks are trending and I can see why.  These compact notebooks can be used for a variety of applications.  You can create a bullet journal, use them for writing, note-taking, sketching, mixed media, take them to crafty classes to name a few uses.  Using Eileen Hull’s Journal Scoreboard die is perfect to fit the inserts or add pages.  This journal just returned from Spain and I filled it with inspiration. Watch to see how I create this Travellers Notebook.  This quick video shows the techniques I use to create textures and layers with paints and mediums. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-EO_C6OFBYI Here is a closer look at the details you can create with various Prima Marketing Finnabair products.  I really love the inside of…

Hi friends- Eileen Hull here from sunny and warm Virginia! Yesterday it hit 70 degrees out and it seems I caught a touch of spring fever. I decided to make a thank you card in pretty pastels to celebrate spring. Using Dies to Make Stamps I don’t know about you, but nothing makes me happier than finding multiple ways to use my dies.  I decided to go through my Thinlits collection and create stamps from some of my favorite elements. I also used a frame shape from the Trinket Box die and was happy that it fit perfectly on the front of an A-2 card! Such a fun way to use your dies. My ColorBox Blends inks by were used to stamp the design – Blends are an applicator, inker, and re-inker all in one. They have ten times as much ink as a stamp pad. Blends are a Crafters…
