This week we’ll follow the cataloging steps from week 5, with a few small changes and get your embossing folders, sorted, labeled, cataloged and stored. What you need: – Additional pages for your catalog – Black marker – for creating a grid pattern on your paper – Crayons – Label supplies – Storage Containers What to do: 1. Gather your embossing folders together. 2. Sort embossing folders by size. 3. If you need storage containers order or purchase the right sizes and styles for your embossing folder collection. 4. Fill your storage containers with embossing folders. 5. Number embossing folders and label storage containers with number “bookmarks” – remember to leave numbers if you have extra space. 6. Upcycling Pop Cans to Make Embossed “Tin Panels” by Christy Riopel I was inspired by old tin ceiling panels when I created this page. I love how they go with the vintage feel of the photo. Supplies: Fancy Pants Designs patterned paper and stickers, Spellbinder’s dies and embossing folders, gesso, Stephanie Barnard for Clearsnap ink sprays, Beacon Adhesives 3in1 glue and Decoupage gloss sealer, Bazzill Basics Paper cardstock, marvy gel pen. To make the panels I cut the top and bottom off a pop can and down the side. I then took my Spellbinders embossing folder and embossed the metal from the can. I then painted it with gesso and let it dry. I sprayed it with Stephanie Barnard for Clearsnap Ink sprays and when they were almost dry I sealed them with Beacon Adhesives spray on Decoupage Gloss Sealer. This keeps the colours vibrant.
