Christy Riopel instantly fell in love with Izinks from Clearsnap. I remember they day Clearsnap sent them to the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine team to play with – a few of us were like “What the heck do you do with these?” I for one am a die hard collector of all things scrapbooking pretty so I instantly knew where they were going to be displayed in my craft room but had no idea how to use them. Giggle Giggle. Not Christy. The first few projects she created with the Izinks were gorgeous, after that the projects were beyond beautiful. What are Izinks? First off, they are stored in the cutest little bottles! Izinks are acrylic based pigment ink. The ink is opaque and will not produce a patine effect. They are acid free and are mostly used for srapbooking and hobby crafts. Of course they come in a wide…

Featuring Aladine Izink Pigment inks distributed by Clearsnap and Quietfire Design stamps Hello, Connie here impatiently waiting for the snow to melt, the mud to dry and the garden to grow. This layout was totally inspired by my stash of fake flowers. I was trying to declutter my basement and gathered up all the artificial flowers that I have collected over the years. Most of these were purchased from Dollarama or from the clearance aisle at Michaels and Walmart stores, but have largely turned into dust collectors since I rarely use flowers on layouts these days. Before I passed these posies on to their next home, I thought I would do one more layout with them for old time’s sake. I started with a piece of Canadian Scrapbooker Superstock and made my own really simple customized paper by adding a rainbow of colour with Izink inks. The Izinks are manufactured by Aladine…
When to stop and when not to? by Christy Riopel January always makes me a little introspective and I tend to scrapbook more interpersonal stuff this time of year. I created this layout about dealing with the old(er) girl in the mirror these days. SUPPLIES: FabScraps pattened paper and chipboard, Aladine Izink inks distributed by Clearsnap, May Arts ribbon, Impression Obsession stamps, ColorBox Surfacez ink by Clearsnap, Spellbinders dies and Grand Calibur die cutting machine, Dymo Label Maker, Ranger Industries gel pen, Beacon Adhesives. It ended up being an exploration in not just one hard question ( when did I get this old?) but in another unrelated question I often face….. When do I stop? When is enough on a layout? Here is a picture of what It looked like when I first thought it was done. Not that I was unhappy with it but I just felt it needed more.…
