In loving memory of Christy RiopelChristy Riopel instantly fell in love with Izinks from Clearsnap. I remember they day Clearsnap sent them to the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine team to play with – a few of us were like “What the heck do you do with these?” I for one am a die hard collector of all things scrapbooking pretty so I instantly knew where they were going to be displayed in my craft room but had no idea how to use them. Giggle Giggle. Not Christy. The first few projects she created with the Izinks were gorgeous, after that the projects were beyond beautiful.

What are Izinks?
First off, they are stored in the cutest little bottles!

Izinks are acrylic based pigment ink. The ink is opaque and will not produce a patine effect. They are acid free and are mostly used for srapbooking and hobby crafts. Of course they come in a wide range of colours that you will eventually need!

One of Christy’s Projects
Here is just one project of literally hundreds Christy designed featuring Izinks.

Through out the years Izinks became a staple in Christy’s creative stash. She used them for her scrapbook pages and cards, but mostly they found their way into her beautiful art journals. One of the many things we all learned from Christy over the years was to never be afraid to try new things, to never be afraid of doing something wrong AND to keep using it over and over. I remember saying to her one time ” You make that technique look so easy” she would say “it is easy Jackie AND I have done it a hundred times.”

Grab some Izinks – play with them – make them work for your style. That is what Christy would do 🙂
Happy Scrapbooking
In loving memory of Christy Riopel – we continue to raise money for the Christy Riopel Art Scholarship. To date – one scholarship has been given through The Boys & Girls club of Calgary. This warms my heart knowing that Christy continues to spread gentle, caring and inspiring love through art in our world. Thank you so much to everyone who donates. We appreciate it from the bottom of our hearts.
