Hello everyone! Karen Ellis here today on the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine blog. I have had the distinct honour to have met so many of you in person at scrapbooking shows and conventions in cities all over Canada and the USA. Hello Everyone! Karen Ellis here, back from a fabulous weekend at ScrapFest in Kitchener, Ontario. Cathie Allan and I taught some “Technique Tasters” in the Creative Scrapbooker booth and I wanted to show you what I taught here. Cause it was Groovin! I, with the help of Art-C, wanted to get the Groove Tool in the hands of our Scrapbookers – have as many people try it out and see for themselves if it’s a tool for them. It’s a fun, hand-held battery operated painting, inking and distressing tool that applies ink and paint to projects with ease! There are 4 different attachments: a brush tool for painting, a foam attachment for inking and two sand paper heads – fine and course for distressing. Pretty Cool! Technique Taster’s with Cathie Allan, Clearsnap and Impression Obsession

“Technique Taster’s” are a quick fun class that Canadian Scrapbooker Magazine offers at different events across the country. In 20 minutes we like toshare with you some of our very favourite ideas, tools, toys, stamps, ink, paint and more. The Technique Taster’s may be short in time but they are“tall” in inspiration. For my part in the Technique Taster at Scrapfest in Kitchener (GOING ON RIGHT NOW) we will be creating one of these tags with in the Canadian Scrapbooker booth. I know we will have tons of fun as we take Canadian Scrapbooker “white Super Stock” tag and turn it into a “tag to remember”, using the Cathie Allan, Position-It, pigment ink, masking and smearing techniques that are easy and fun. Karen Ellis Technique Taster at ScrapFest

Hello everyone, Karen Ellis here! I am so excited to be able to attend ScrapFest in Richmond Hill, Ontario on behalf of the Canadian Scrapbooker Magazine. Jodi Wilton, my daughter Emily and I will be in the booth promoting the magazine, selling subscriptions and sharing the love of this uniquely Canadian paper crafting magazine! One of my favourite parts of attending shows (in addition to getting to meet all of you) is being able to teach some fun techniques IN PERSON much like we do in each issue of the magazine. We call the showfloor classes Technique Tasters and at ScrapFest on September 27 I will be offering TWO FREE Tasters to attendees on a first come, first serve basis.
