One of the greatest forms of flattery is to imitate or copy. In the world of scrapbooking or cardmaking, we are always flooding our brains with inspiration from several sources. My favourites source is Creative Scrapbooker Magazine. Whether browsing between the covers of the most recent issue or scrolling through their Facebook and Instagram feeds, their shares and styles always seem to match my own. Recently on Instagram, this card by @rlbreaks was shared and I loved it! It did not take me long to try to find a way to imitate it with the supplies I had on hand. It was a simple card to recreate in multiples to meet my Valentine’s needs! So be inspired! Imitate and copy with your own twist, but ALWAYS be sure to credit your source! That way they know they have inspired, it’s a WIN-WIN! Supplies: Ranger Industries: Distress Oxide Ink & Archival…
Hello, Connie Nichol here with a romantic layout just in time for Valentine’s Day. I was cleaning up my craft room when I came across this photograph of my parents from about 28 years ago – they look so young and so happy. This layout came together very quickly. I had a few pieces of patterned paper on my desk from a South African company called Penelope Dee. I saw their products for the first time at Creativation last month in Phoenix and the designs are simply gorgeous. This patterned paper was SO perfect for this photo and then I saw a scrapbook sketch designed by Laura Whitaker on Facebook. Isn’t this a great sketch? It certainly speeds up the scrapbooking process when somebody has done most of the design work for you! For the page title and for extra embellishments, I used two different sets of the Way…

Hello everyone! It’s Kelly Klapstein here today to share a couple of Valentine cards I made using Chameleon Pens and NEW Core’dinations Glitter Prints paper. I visited the Chameleon Pens website www.chameleonpens.com and signed up for their free newsletter, which gives me access to monthly digital downloads like this Zentangle heart on my card. Once I downloaded this Zentangle heart, I printed it onto regular marker paper and Core’dinations NEW Glitter Prints cardstock. The first card above was printed on regular paper, and the second one was printed and coloured on the Glitter Prints cardstock The Chameleon Pens colour the Glitter Prints paper beautifully, with no bleed through. To watch a demonstration of how I coloured this card with Chameleon Pens, visit us on Periscope @CSMscrapbooker and watch the replay video. Hello everyone! It’s Kelly here to share with you a fun Valentine card I designed using DCWV’s new Vintage Collector line. Here are the DCWV products that I used: These new DCWV cards make it so quick and easy to customize your own designs. I started with the card base and then added to the interior. I trimmed this piece of paper from the mat stack to fit inside. I chose this “Love” label from the Vintage Collector Tag Stack and added a piece of May Arts ribbon.. Then I decided to make a pocket for it using the matching Vintage Collector card stock. I drew faux stitching with a ruler around the pocket edges. I cut out the [heart] U image from a piece of paper in the Vintage Collector Mat Stack and adhered it to the centre of the pocket. And that is that! Pretty easy! Now…
