Hello everyone!  It’s Kelly here to share with you a fun Valentine card I designed using DCWV‘s new Vintage Collector line.

SUPPLIES: DCWV Vintage Collector card stock, mat stack, tag stack, card set, envelopes; May Arts ribbon; Kuretake pen; Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L MyStik Runner; Westcott scissors and trimmer.

Here are the DCWV products that I used:

These new DCWV cards make it so quick and easy to customize your own designs.

I started with the card base and then added to the interior.

I trimmed this piece of paper from the mat stack to fit inside.

I chose this “Love” label from the Vintage Collector Tag Stack and added a piece of May Arts ribbon..

Then I decided to make a pocket for it using the matching Vintage Collector card stock.

I drew faux stitching with a ruler around the pocket edges.

I cut out the [heart] U image from a piece of paper in the Vintage Collector Mat Stack and adhered it to the centre of the pocket.

And that is that!  Pretty easy! Now just slip it into the ready-made envelope and my husband’s Valentine is done!

I just love the way it ties up…

This card set would work for a number of different occasions too, such as anniversary, wedding, thank you and so on.

I wonder what kind of card my husband will make for me?!?  Ha ha ha!

    Wow, where have I been this week! fabulous card!!! Love the special Heart opening, and the special little pocket inside the card! The paper is adorable and how perfect for a special Valentine! Well done!! 🙂
