Here’s my take on the September 2014 sketch from Canadian Scrapbooker’s It’s a Sketchy Challenge. Yes, there`s pink on here and it`s a boy layout.
I used a great paper stack from DCWV, Vintage Collector and two of the supporting matching smaller stacks. I love the variety of colours and patterns in this stack.
Here’s the September sketch.
I actually followed it pretty closely this time around. Instead of eight squares, I put in eight paper bottle caps punched from a sheet of the DCWV paper. I found that a 1 ½” scallop punch was the perfect size and added a bottle cap like edge.
I also cut the other embellishments out of the paper stacks and used my favourite brown Clearsnap Fluid Chalk ink, stylus and white foam tip for edging and Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L 3D Foam Squares to add a little dimension. These little touches can add a lot of oomph to a project.
