Hello, Connie Nichol here with some cards I created with Impression Obsession stamps and dies, Chameleon Pens and Core’dinations cardstock. I only meant to make one card, but I was having so much fun stamping and colouring that I ended up with a few slightly different versions. My philosophy is that while you’ve got all the supplies scattered about, keep creating!! It’s an awesome feeling to have a bunch of cards prepared and ready to go when you need them. But now I can’t decide which one I like best…. they are all sort of similar but different.
When I started creating these, I stamped the Mixed Flower stamp from Impression Obsession three times on white cardstock with Ranger Adirondack black dye ink and coloured them with Chameleon pens. These markers are very unique – they are alcohol based markers that allow you to get a variety of colour tones with just one pen. So, you can go from just a hint of a tint to very rich colour to add depth, dimension or highlighting to anything you colour. They are very fun to play with.
Right now there are 20 colours of Chameleon pens to choose from but they are coming out with 30 new colours! Picking a favourite colour for colouring stamped images is going to get a lot harder.
Impression Obsession has SO many gorgeous flower stamps it is actually very hard to pick a favourite. Here’s the one I used today:
And like usual, I dabbed some Ranger Stickles glitter glue in the flower centers to add a little glam.
And here’s the Impression Obsessions die I used for the greeting on all three cards. They are called ‘edgers’ and I think are meant to always hang down, but as you can see, they also look pretty good sideways, or even cut apart with the words used separately.
I used this cool mesh Sizzix embossing folder to add texture on the first two cards.
It worked perfectly with my favourite Core’dinations ColorCore cardstock.
Thanks for looking! Have a creative day!
