Hi everyone! My name is Sherry Roth and am honoured to be here as a guest blogger today to share with you my love for Project Life.

First of all I need to start by saying that Project Life has changed my way of thinking about scrapbooking, the way I scrapbook and how much I scrapbook – all for the better! I am so passionate about this type of memory keeping, that I could probably write a book – but I will keep this short and sweet.

Calendar Spread

One of the great things about memory keeping is that there’s no right or wrong way to do it. You can make it work for YOU and that’s what I’ve done with the Project Life system of memory keeping.

Each month begins with a calendar page and then includes a combination of pocket pages and traditional pages to record the photos and events that occurred over the course of the month. I don’t worry about whether things are in chronological order – as long as everything is filed in the correct month, I’m happy.

Since starting the Project Life system, I take more photos, tell more stories and journal a lot more than I ever did when I strictly scrapbooked traditionally. I love that, my family loves it and I know down the road we will all be grateful to have those stories (little and big) documented, because let’s face it, we all forget!

Don’t get me wrong, I still love traditional scrapbooking. Every month I choose a few of my favorite photos, scrapbook those traditionally and include them in the same album, right along with the pocket pages. Project Life cards make those traditional pages quick and easy!

Traditional Layout using PL Cards

By combining the two methods of memory keeping I get more photos into albums for my family to enjoy, much faster than I did when I only scrapbooked traditionally. Seeing my family look through our albums, remembering, laughing at the stories and talking about the past, brings me so much joy.  Thank you Creative Scrapbooker Magazine for inviting me to share my love for Project Life!

Note: All of the pages shared today use Stampin’ Up!’s Good Vibes Project Life card collection and coordinating accessory pack. You’ll love the beautiful copper touches in the accessory pack!.  The perfect collection of products to document those everyday stories! Contact your Stampin’ Up! demonstrator to order yours. If you don’t already have a demonstrator, I’d be happy to help you!  You can email me at sherry@stampedtreasures.com
