May All Your Dreams Come True Card with Katelyn Grosart
Hey Creative Scrapbooker Fans! Today I thought that I would share with you a theme of card that doesn’t get made or sent a lot. Sending a card for someone who has accomplished a dream of theirs is uncommon, but why not send a card to congratulate them for achieving it. Using the Winter Wishes Collection from Bo Bunny, a variety of dies from Elizabeth Craft Designs and pairing them up with a variety of products from Ranger Ink, I was able to create this beautiful “May All Your Dreams Come True” card. You’ll want to make sure to grab a cup of your favourite beverage as I will show you how to recreate this project in the comforts of your own home.
Using the Bunch of Flowers 3 die set from Elizabeth Craft Designs, die cut five of the small flowers, five of the medium flowers and three of the large flowers out of White Soft Finish Cardstock from Elizabeth Craft Designs. Using a blending tool and foam from Ranger Ink, blend Spun Sugar Distress Ink from Ranger Ink over the entire surface on three of the small flowers, three of the medium flowers and three of the large flowers. Using the tools in the All Metal Tool Set from Elizabeth Craft Designs, shape all fifteen flowers. Adhere the small white flowers to the medium white flowers. You’ll end up with two white flowers. Adhere the small pink flowers to the medium pink flowers. Adhere the medium pink flowers to the large pink flowers. You’ll end up with three pink flowers. As a finishing touch add a white pearl to the center of each flower set.
Using the Curvy Leaves Die from Elizabeth Craft Designs, die cut five two-leaf, five three-leaf and five five-leaf pieces out of White Soft Finish Cardstock from Elizabeth Craft Designs. Using a blending tool, blend Bundled Sage Distress Ink from Ranger Ink over three two-leaf leaves, five three-leaf leaves and three five-leaf leaves. Shape the coloured leaves using the leaf tool and leaf pad. Trim off a bit of the stems on the leaves.
Using the Leafy Branch 4 Die from Elizabeth Craft Designs, die cut three branches out of White Soft Cardstock from Elizabeth Craft Designs. You’ll need to cut off some the excess branch.
Using the Dancing Butterflies from Elizabeth Craft Designs, die cut two of the small butterflies out of White Soft Finish Cardstock also from Elizabeth Craft Designs. Using a blending tool and foam from Ranger Ink, lightly blend Spun Sugar Distress Ink from Ranger Ink overtop of the butterflies.
Using the Stitched Square die from Elizabeth Craft Designs, die cut the 5 ¼” square out of Bo Bunny Winter Wishes – Icicles paper. The other stitched square you’ll need to die cut is the 4 ¾” stitched square out of Bo Bunny Winter Wishes – Boughs paper. Make sure to distress the edges using a edge distressor. To finish off the edges of the squares, use a blending tool and foam from Ranger Ink and ink the edges of the squares using Hickory Smoke Distress Ink from Ranger Ink.
Using the Scalloped Circle die from Elizabeth Craft Designs, die cut the 3” circle out of Bo Bunny Winter Wishes – Icicles paper. The other scalloped circle you’ll need to die cut is the 2 ½” scalloped circle out of BoBunny Winter Wishes – Boughs paper. Apply Jet Black Archival Ink from Ranger Ink to the “May All Your Dreams come True” sentiment stamp from Elizabeth Craft Designs, stamp onto the 2 ½” scalloped circle. To finish off the edges, use a blending tool and foam from Ranger Ink and ink the edges of the squares using Hickory Smoke Distress Ink from Ranger Ink.
Die cut the 1 ½” Stitched Fishtail Banners from Elizabeth Craft Designs out of Bo Bunny Winter Wishes – Winter Wishes Paper. You’ll need to cut the banner down to 4 5/8”. Make sure to distress the edges using a edge distressor. To finish off the edges of the banner, use a blending tool and foam from Ranger Ink and ink the edges of the squares using Hickory Smoke Distress Ink from Ranger Ink.
Adhere the 4 ¾” stitched square to the 5 ¼” stitched square.
Adhere the stitched fishtail banner to the middle of the stitched squares.
Adhere the stamped scalloped circle to the 3” scalloped circle. Foam square the 3”scalloped circle to the middle of the banner.
On the bottom right hand side of the scalloped circles, adhere two of the white leafy branches. Once the white leafy branches have been adhered, adhere two of the green five-leaf leaves.
With the leaves adhered, adhere one of the pink flower sets and both of the white flower sets, overtop of the where the green and white leaves join.
To finish the bottom right hand side of the scalloped circle, adhere two green three-leaf leaves at the bottom of the flowers.
In the top left hand side of the scalloped circles, adhere the last white leafy branch. Once the white leafy branch has been adhered, adhere three of the green three-leaf leaves.
To finish off the top left hand side of the scalloped circle, adhere the two pink flower sets so that they cover where the green and white leaves join. To add an extra element in both the top left and bottom right sides, adhere a butterfly in amongst the leaves.
Before you adhere your card front to your cardbase, see if you want to add more leaves. I ended up adhering the last of the leaves in both the top left and bottom right sides of the scalloped circles. Once your happy with how many leaves you have, cut a cardbase out of White Soft Finish Cardstock from Elizabeth Craft Designs that measures 5 ½” x 11”. Score the cardstock at 5 ½”. Fold the cardstock in half and adhere your card front to the front of the cardbase.
I hope that you’ll recreate my “May All Your Dreams Come True” card.
