With so many amazing products to play with from the Stampin’ Up! annual catalogue, it was difficult to decide what stamp set I wanted to show you this month. However, after months of grey skies seeing the sun streaming through my window was the inspiration I needed. Heck, even seeing the yellow weeds (Ahem. Dandelions) growing in my front yard was a welcome sight. Of couurse, I’d much rather see daisies.
Stampin’ Up! has released a daisy stamp set and co-ordinating punch. It makes it unbelievably easy to make a gorgeous flower bouquet at the tips of your fingers!I’ve created this card and favour box using my water colouring techniques of crushed curry refill ink and an aqua painter. It’s so easy that you don’t even have to go inside the lines while colouring. To create this look, I used water colour paper and heat embossed the daisy stamp using white embossing powder and versamark ink. Then dipped my aquapainter into the refill ink and spread it across the flower.
The wood textures DSP stack is a perfect accent to this card along with the burlap ribbon. It makes me happy. Just like the sun. A perfect shade of yellow!
Now it’s time for me to get back to summer!
Thank you so much for dropping by – hope your summer is off to an amazing start!
