Hey Creative Scrapbooker Fans – Katelyn Grosart here today! I hope that you’re having a fabulous Summer so far.
Dream Card
Using the Serendipity Collection from BoBunny, some adhesive from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L, a die from Elizabeth Craft Designs as well as a few products from Ranger Ink, I was able to create my Dream card. You’ll want to grab a cup of your favourite beverage as I show you how to recreate this card in the comforts of your own home.
Building the Card
From the Serendipity paper by BoBunny, cut a piece that measures 4 1/4” x 6 1/4”. Using the 3” Stitched Rectangle die from Elizabeth Craft Designs, cut a stitched rectangle from the same piece of patterned paper. Distress the edges of both pieces of papers using an edge distressor. Ink the edges of the patterned paper pieces using a blending with foam and Vintage Photo Distress Oxide Ink from Ranger Ink.
From the Serendipity Love paper by Bo Bunny, cut a piece that measures 4 1/2” x 6 1/2”. Using the 2 1/2” stitched rectangle die from Elizabeth Craft Designs, cut a stitched rectangle from the same piece of patterned paper. Distress the edges of both pieces of papers using an edge distressor. Ink the edges of the patterned paper pieces using a blending with foam and Vintage Photo Distress Oxide Ink from Ranger Ink
From the Serendipity Flight paper by Bo Bunny, cut a piece that measures 4 3/4” x 6 3/4”.
From the Serendipity Aviary paper by Bo Bunny, cut a piece that measures 4 7/8” x 6 7/8”. Distress the edges of both pieces of papers using an edge distressor. Ink the edges of the patterned paper pieces using a blending with foam and Vintage Photo Distress Oxide Ink from Ranger Ink.
Fussy cut two birds, two birdhouses, the green/blue butterfly, the dream word, the square with butterflies on it and the circular image with the bird and flowers inside from the Serendipity Greetings paper by Bo Bunny. Ink the edges of the fussy cut images using a blending with foam and Vintage Photo Distress Oxide Ink from Ranger Ink.
Fussy cut a bird, a butterfly, two bird nests and the brown butterfly from the backside of the Serendipity Flight paper by Bo Bunny. Ink the edges of the fussy cut images using a blending with foam and Vintage Photo Distress Oxide Ink from Ranger Ink.
Fussy cut eight feathers from the Serendipity Feathers paper by Bo Bunny. Ink the edges of the fussy cut images using a blending with foam and Vintage Photo Distress Oxide Ink from Ranger Ink.
Cut a cardbase that measures 7” x 10” out of Super Stock Cardstock from Creative Scrapbooker Magazine. Score the cardbase at 5”.
Adhere the 4 3/4” piece of patterned paper to the 4 7/8” piece of patterned paper. Adhere the 4 1/2” piece of patterned paper to the 4 3/4” piece of patterned paper. Adhere the 4 1/4” piece of patterned paper to the 4 1/2” piece of patterned paper.
Foam square the 3” floral stitched rectangle 1/4” from the top of the 4 1/4” piece of patterned paper. Foam square the 2 1/2” stitched rectangle 1/4” from the bottom of the 4 1/4” piece of patterned paper. Adhere the 3” wood grain stitched rectangle in the middle of the other two adhered stitched rectangles.
Adhere the square with butterflies in the middle of the woodgrain paper. In the top left hand corner of the square with butterflies, adhere three feathers, one of the birdnests, two birds, the medium butterfly and the large butterfly.
In the bottom right hand corner of the square with butterflies on it, adhere three feathers, one bird, a birdhouse and a birds nest.
Adhere two feathers underneath the birds nest in the bottom middle portion of the square.
Adhere the small butterfly and dream word onto the bird in the circle image. Foam square the bird in the circle image to the middle of the card.
Adhere the cardfront to the cardbase.
Have fun creating and making this card. I love to fussy cut images and layer a variety of patterned paper to create lots of depth and interest on my card. To create even more depth on your card, use foam square on some of the images and adhere some images flat.
