Creative Scrapbooker's VIP Club

Nicole here today on the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine blog sharing my jumpstart on fall – this gorgeous fall card. OK, I know, I know we are only half way through summer and already I’m blogging fall leaves!  I really couldn’t help myself.  I mean… you know me!  This week I am blogging for Xyron where Newton’s Nook are teaming up for some… AWESOMENESS!  I thought I would share my simple card here too.

Xyron
Xyron just happens to be a sponsor of the Great Canadian Scrapbook Carnivals in Edmonton and Calgary this fall! A huge thank you to this awesome company for sponsoring. This event would not be possible without our amazing sponsors! Registration is open – CLICK HERE – you won’t want to miss out!

Today’s Project
I love fall leaves so of course I had to go for these gorgeous leafy stamps.  Can you imagine these embossed or in an art journal!  So many creative ways to make stuff.

Scrapbook fall card designed by Nicole Wright featuring Ranger distress ink and Stabilo woody 3-in-1 pens.
Supplies: Stabilo 3 in 1 Woody Pencils, Ranger Distress Oxide -Peeled Paint-Spice Marmelade-Fossilized Amber-Fired Brick-Walnut Stain-Vintage Photo, Ranger Archival Jet Black ink, Xyron Sticker Maker, Sizzix Die Tag & Tie .

Building the Card
I gathered some goodies including my Tag and Tie to make a Kraft Tag for the sentiment. A little bit of stamping and inking goes a long way.

Step by step of creating a fall card starting with a tag stamped with Ranger distress ink and Newton Nook sentiment and pumpkin stamp.
Step One

I stamped the wee pumpkin from the Falling for You set (linked below) and coloured with Stabilo Woody 3 in 1 pencils.  These are great for watercoloring too.  Yep, it happens from time to time… I fussy cut the pumpkins out.

Step by Step of stamping a pumpkin, colouring with Stabilo, inking with ranger dsitress ink to create a fall card
Step Two

I stamped the Beautiful Leaves stamp (linked below) with a blend of Ranger Oxide Inks.  Stamping again on inky scrap paper with large maple leaf… yep, more fussy cutting.  Oi…

Step by steps to create a fall card stamping with Newton leaf stamps and inking with Ranger oxide inks.
Step Three

More stamping on the background and then run through the Creative Station.  I stamped the mini leaves to create a border and popped up the fancy maple leave.  There’s little pumpkins are run through the Xyron Sticker Maker and ready to attack to the small tag.

Step by steps to create a fall card using Xyron machine to adhere elements into place.
