Whoa! Someone put the reigns on August! Somehow this summer has gotten away from us and September is right around the corner! That means kids are back to school and the Great Canadian Scrapbook Carnival is too! Seems like we just packed up from last year’s carnival! So today I have a quick card share for you that looks a bit more time consuming than it is! Rule #1 as a card maker – make them think you sweat…think Rice Crispy commercial! My card was inspired by our July Sketchy challenge and layered on top of some CSM superstock! In an ideal world I would have more photos for you of the process, but I am using my “free pass” and will step them out in writing. 1] I used and older Heartfelt Creations background stamp, Large Elegant Word and Clearsnap inks to randomly stamp down the left side and…

Happy Friday everyone! Jayme Loge here once again on the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine playing with some fun products from Kaisercraft. I have lived in Alberta all of my life. In fact, my people have lived in Alberta for generations. I love traveling all over Canada and the rest of the world, but there is something about the sky here in Alberta that is home to me. I married a man from BC, and so we take frequent trips through the mountains to visit his family. I LOVE the mountains, and my eyes are delighted continually throughout our whole visit, every single time. But I noticed early on that a feeling of peace and contentedness settles over me every time we return home. There is just something about that sky! I take endless pictures of the sky. In storms. At sunrise or sunset. In every season. In the city or across a…

Hello everyone, Kerry Engel here today on the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine blog. The ‘Seas The Day’ Tri-fold Stamp by Art Impressions is meant to be used in an interactive card. I thought I’d challenge myself to see if I could use it another way.I ended up creating an adorable tag that I plan on using as an embellishment on a scrapbook page, but it could easily be hung on a gift or bottle of wine.My salty embellishment has a lot of depth and dimension and comes together very smoothly as the stamps and dies snuggle together nicely on a tag. To create the tag… Step 1. You’ll need 3 tags, Art C has some great vintage tags. On the first tag stamp the palm trees centering them towards the bottom. ColorBox ink by Clearsnap has yummy colors that look fabulous on the vintage tags. Stamping in brown coordinates nicely with…
