12 Days of Giving

Hello everyone – Tracy McLennon here today on the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine blog sharing this beautiful butterfly card I designed using some of my favourite products from Stampin’ Up!, Ranger, Chameleon Color Tone pens and Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L.

Scrapbook card featuring a huge Stampin' Up! butterfly stamp for card making coloured with Chameleon pens.
Butterfly Card Designed by Tracy McLennon

I used watercolour paper and Tim Holtz for Ranger Distress Oxide Inks to create this rust like background. To do this you need a non stick craft mat. Stamp the ink directly onto the craft mat, spray with water and mix with your fingers. Then dip the paper into the ink/water mixture. Dry with a heat gun. Then do the same with the next colour of ink. Dry again with a heat gun. Do the same with the third colour of ink. You can continue this process until you get the coverage you desire.@csmscrapbooker Handmade butterfly card stamped with Ranger ink using a butterfly stamp from Stampin Up. Background created using Ranger Distress Oxide inks.I stamped this beautiful Stampin’ Up! butterfly image on white cardstock using Early Espresso Stampin’ Up! dye ink. @csmscrapbooker Handmade butterfly card stamped with a Stampin Up butterfly stamp and colored with Chameleon pens. Background of card created with Ranger Oxide inks. Then using all 5 pens from the Warm Tones 5 pack from Chameleon Color Tone pens, I added my colour to the image. These pens make shading and colouring stamped images a dream. This butterfly stamp from Stampin’ Up!  makes the perfect focal point on a 6×6 card. I added burlap string and Tim Holtz mini staples to add even more texture. I used 3D Foam Squares from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L between all of the layers in order to create lots of depth.

SUPPLIES: Stampin’ Up! stamp, dye ink and cardstock, Chameleon Color Tone pens, Ranger Distress Oxide inks, Tim Holtz mini staples and phrase stickers, Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L, unknown burlap, mesh, buttons and watercolor paper.

Have a wonderful day everyone!
Tracy
