I LOVE this layout Christy Riopel designed for the Fall 2016 issue of Creative Scrapbooker Magazine. That beautiful background was created with Ranger Dylusions spray ink and paper towels! HOW COOL!

Frugal Scrapbooker
In every issue of Creative Scrapbooker Magazine our Frugal Scrapbooker Connie Nichol shares tips and tricks for keepping your scrapbooking budget from exploding. (this can happen :)) In the Fall 2016 issue, Connie shared tips for using scrapbook supplies from your kitchen. Everything from saran wrap, to cheesecloth, to pop can tabs. LOVE IT! This layout was Christy’s contribution to Connie’s article. She used paper towel to create that fun textured background.
The Products
The base of Christy’s layout is Creative Scrapbooker Super Stock. This is heavy 130lb white smooth finish cardstock. It is meant to take a lot of scrapbooking LOVE – giggle giggle. Perfect for stamping, card making and mixed media!

Ranger Dylusions ink spray by the very talented Dyan Reavely come in a ton of vibrant colours. That is the colour you see in the background. Remember the base of this layout was white!

Christy loved adding doodling and borders on her projects. For this layout she used Sakura Pigma Drawing Pens .

All those little words you see here and there in the background – those are sentiment stamps from Stampin’ Up!. The butterflies on Christy’s project are clip art from the Internet.
So much beautiful all on one layout – thank you for continuing to inspire us each and everyday Christy.
In loving memory of Christy Riopel – we continue to raise money for the Christy Riopel Art Scholarship. To date – one scholarship has been given through The Boys & Girls club of Calgary. This warms my heart knowing that Christy continues to spread gentle, caring and inspiring love through art in our world. Thank you so much to everyone who donates. We appreciate it from the bottom of our hearts.
