Step by step photos to create a tag using Dina Wakley Scribble Sticks.

Hands up if you’re ready for spring… I know I am. Nicole here on the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine blog and I am ready to see the grass under the blanket of snow. Until then I have whipped up this easy to create tag celebrating flowers and the return of those singing little birds. I have used one of my favourite new products – Dina Wakley Scribble Sticks from Ranger. Introducing a new coloring medium to the Dina Wakley Media line. Scribble Sticks are versatile, high quality pigment sticks that sketch like crayons but are water-soluble like watercolor pencils. Create backgrounds and blend color to a transparent shade using water or create bold, opaque designs, scribbles and marks on top of Dina Wakley Acrylic Paints and other mediums. Set includes 12 colors that coordinate with the Dina Wakley Media palette of color.This tag is all about scribbling and having fun.Prepare the Super Stock tag with an even coat of white gesso. Allow it to dry before scribbling. Scribble little swatches of colour using your Scribble Sticks and rub to blend. I keep a little baby wipe on hand to help blend the scribbles. Dab your finger and smear.Stamp the floral stamp with archival jet black around the tag creating a border. Leave a spot for your bird. I started with the bird using my scribble sticks and blend. I added a little white gesso for the breast of the scribble bird to punch it up. Scribble your floral border randomly.We literally just scribbled our way to a beautiful easy tag. Creating a base for the scribble sticks to move easily and blend is the key here.
