“Be Your Own Kind of Beautiful.”
Yes, please!
Hello everyone, Cathy Caines here today on the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine blog.
When I saw this sentiment in the Stampin’ Up! Artfully Folded stamp set, I knew I wanted to include it in today’s project. Lately, it seems like that is an anthem in my little world.
You want to have blue hair? Sure.
You want to wear your Mario shirt and pants every day. Okay.
Oh, you want to wear your pants inside out. Well, fine.
The Stampin’ Up! 2018-2019 Annual Catalogue was released on Friday introducing another wave of beautiful products. This stamp set along with others are set to help inspire you to create. That’s it. Just create. So, let’s do this.To create today’s project I had to first mix Prussian Blue Brusho with white Stampin’ Up! Embossing Paste. Typically I take out some of the paste using a palette knife and put it in a corner on my craft mat. Of course since the embossing paste is white, the Brusho was added to add colour. Before the embossing paste dried completely I smooshed the white die cut from the Springtime Impressions Thinlets into the paste. Over top of that I added some silver metallic thread.
By adding the vellum background paper it allowed the image to be a little more grounded and of course, created a focal point. At that point I began to embellish. The new Tranquil Textures Sprinkles added the perfect accent. If you aren’t sure how to adhere these little stones and beads to the page – try using the Tombeau Liquid glue.I can’t wait to show you more products in the 2018-2019 Stampin’ Up! catalog. Be sure to follow me on Instagram and of course Creative Scrapbooker to see more.
Thanks for dropping by to check out my project today – have a wonderful day! Cathy Caines, Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator
