Happy Friday everyone! Jayme Loge here once again on the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine playing with some fun products from Kaisercraft.
I have lived in Alberta all of my life. In fact, my people have lived in Alberta for generations. I love traveling all over Canada and the rest of the world, but there is something about the sky here in Alberta that is home to me. I married a man from BC, and so we take frequent trips through the mountains to visit his family. I LOVE the mountains, and my eyes are delighted continually throughout our whole visit, every single time. But I noticed early on that a feeling of peace and contentedness settles over me every time we return home. There is just something about that sky!

I take endless pictures of the sky. In storms. At sunrise or sunset. In every season. In the city or across a farmer’s field. No matter where I am or what I am doing, that sky stops me in my tracks and I need to take an extra moment to soak it all in. Of course, the picture never equals the experience, but I am somehow delighted by the visual reminder of my big sky nonetheless.

I was looking through my paper stash and the soft colors of these papers from Kaisercraft (from the Keepsake line) made me think of this end of day sky picture. The papers matched the softened and timeless feeling of this ‘sky moment’ I tried to capture.  A simple 6×6 square of patterned paper and some die cuts and this layout was pretty much done! Kaisercraft Scrapbook Layout Designed by Jayme Loge | Creative Scrapbooker Magazine Kaisercraft Scrapbook Layout Designed by Jayme Loge | Creative Scrapbooker MagazineSupplies Used: Kaisercraft Patterned paper, die cuts; Prima pearls; Sakura Gelly Roll white pen

It was nice to look back on a summer memory when we’ve been in the middle of a seemingly endless cold snap. But now that I am driving to work in some daylight again, I’ve been itching to pull over and snap some pictures of the endless blue of the winter sky. Soon, I will plan the extra few minutes so I can stop, breathe my tiny breath in this big world and feel my feet touch the earth with all there is to wonder and explore surrounding me. I never feel smaller or larger than when I hold my space between earth and sky and marvel at it all!
