Hey, Creative Scrapbooker fans Katelyn Grosart here today on the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine blog.
I am here to share with you a fun summer themed scrapbook layout featuring the Creative Memories Maritime Collection. The jumping off point for my layout was using the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine August Sketch. With the sketch in hand I set off to create my Galiano Scrapbook Layout which features the Maritime Collection from Creative Memories, Blackboard Alphabet Die set from Elizabeth Craft Designs, Ink from Ranger Ink and adhesives from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L. You’ll want to grab a cup of your favourite summer beverage as I share with you how to recreate my layout at home.
To start, you’ll need both pieces of the wood paper out of the Maritime Collection Designer Paper Pack from Creative Memories. One piece will stay as a full 12×12 piece. The other piece needs to be cut down to 6”. From the 6” piece, cut one piece that measures 1” x 2” and another piece that measures 1” x 3”. Flip the piece of paper over and place the letters needed from your scrapbook layout out of the blackboard alphabet die from Elizabeth Craft Designs. Run the paper and dies through your die cutting machine. Distress the edges of the 12×12 paper, the 1” x 3” and the 1” x 2” pieces. Ink the edges of the papers and letters using Ground Espresso Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam from Ranger Ink
