Hello Creative Scrapbookers! My name is Jayme Loge and I hope you enjoy this little blog offering for your inspiration. Because let me tell you, my oh my! did I have fun playing with these adorable Whoot stamp collection from Art Impressions! I just love their squeezable, squishable big-eyed faces! They are simple enough cards, but a lot of work goes into coloring or painting the images and I just didn’t want to get in the way of their whooty cuteness!
The first card I made features a simple stenciled background (Tim Holtz stencils). I used a sponge applicator and Dylusions paint over a page torn out from an old book. I totally geek out over using book pages any time I can! I colored the stamped image with Chameleon markers and assembled everything on a Kraft cardstock. The next card features a row of water colored Whoot with a little Stickles added for a bit of playful sparkle. They look like they are ready for a party, and so I gave them a party paper background (from Simple Stories) and some fun ribbon (from May Arts). Finally, or finally for now because these cuties are staying at the top of my stamp stash, I tried to step outside my comfort zone a little and stamp on a layout. I used the row of whoots to make a patterned background, and then used my watercolors to paint a single image as a way to reinforce my layout title “You are one in a million”. I only used plain cardstock and added some detail with washi tape (from My Mind’s Eye), There is also an assortment of letters (American Crafts, Bella Boulevard, My Mind’s Eye) used in the title. Because I know you are wondering, my daughter, is squishing up a large can of tomatoes to make a sauce to go with her fresh made pasta. She is far braver than I, for sure! Now it is your turn! Nothing beats a gift from the heart like a handmade card! Nothing will tell and then preserve your story like a scrapbook layout. Go! Create!
Happy Tuesday everyone

I can see why you like those stamps. Adorable! Your cards are great, but I really love the page the best. Great job!
