Hello Friends and welcome to the Creative Scrapbooker Blog. Its Karan Gerber here to inspire you today and I have a card I designed using the papers, archival board, flowers and stamps from 49 and MarketThe papers are from the new Island Paradise Collection and the flowers are the Cotton Blends. So to start with, I cut two papers from the collection. One measuring 5.5 x 7.5 and the second, 5×7. I wanted to make sure there was enough contrast between the two, so the top one is a bit darker than the bottom mat. The second step was I used some Stamps from 49 and Market, first set being Pascale’s Grammar Stamp and the second was Pascale’s Formula. For the second step: stamp the background very randomly using the Grammar set of stamps using Ranger Black Archival InkI then used weather wood distress ink from Ranger and used the Formula stamp and stamped randomly close to the first images of stamps to create some clusters. After I was one, I wanted to add a bit more detail, so I stamped with Hero Arts Unicorn Pigment Ink and then heat embossed with Wow Embossing Powder in Glacier White, the large stamp image from Pascale’s Formula stamp and it turned out like this. Don’t be afraid to have these images overlap, that’s the beauty of end result. I am liking how that is looking so far. So it was time to add some flowers. and Chipboard. I began with the clock from the Timeless Archival Board as my focal point, I began to build and layer my flowers. I colored some seam binding with the weathered wood Distress Ink from Ranger. All I did was wet the seam binding with water and gently ran the distress ink pad up and down the seam binding. Using a paper towel, I dried off the excess water and then I used my heat tool to crinkle it. I then attached that to the side before i got too carried away with the flowers. I used the title Moments from one of the 49 and Market Archival Boards. Once I was happy where everything was I decide to use my hot glue gun and adhered it all down. Then detailed the flowers with Crystal Clear Glitter using Glue Gloss by Clear Snap. I wanted to add a sub title so I used one of the stickers from Tim Holtz Small Talk Stickers and added that. I also thought the clock from the Tattered Laser cut sheet blended in beautifully and I added that too. Have fun with those stamps in your collection, don’t be afraid to try different ink colors to create a background! You will have fun in the process!
Have a wonderful week everyone!
